You should return the favour and take her to watch Derby women or any of the other local teams we have.

So they've been having bad games 90% of the season for the past few years then? Chances created ultimately mean nothing if you lose the majority of games due to lack of goals
Not sure the point you’re making. We have had several managers, completely different players, a different league… you’re acting like we’ve had the same squad and same manager. You might as well compare today’s game with one twenty years ago than one two years ago.

I’d have gone Sibley to get us up the pitch a bit better but hopefully Liam knows what he’s doing.

I’d guess the RB might be a bit more experienced. We signed the young Oduroh.

As I said earlier, Todd Kane is wanted out by Coventry and Oxford fans reckon he's joining them. Surely we can beat them to him, attacking right back, good age and experience.
Probably because he will cost money.

You love posting links to these nonsense websites. Do you even consider it before you post it? You know full well Knight played in defence last week, and last I checked Kasey Palmer hasn’t played for us in years.

Good luck to him
Very harsh to write him off completely. The coaches and manager haven't got rid permanently so I assume they still believe he can do something. They see a lot more than we do from the 20 mins or so you might see him as a sub etc.
Players aren't robots, and a lot of things can affect how they play. Run of games, bit of self belief, experience in the adult game (not the u23's) may all help reach a decent level. I imagine seeing Plange doing his thing can put real pressure on a kid in the same position, he's probably so desperate to get some goals and get his career underway that it hinders your game. Hopefully he feels less pressure at Carlisle and finds the net.
Rosenior said he didn’t want him to go permanently. Watch his pre match interview.

Their Whoscored best player against Accrington was their 196cm giant of a CB who won 13 aerials.
Fraser (LCM), Leaburn (sub RW) and Jaiyesimi (RW) were their next best players.Only two players I recognise from their team vs Accrington. Fraser, and Sessegnon. Sessegnon being one of their worst performers, so expect Mendez-Laing to have a lot of fun down that side.
For a side who claim to be a possession based side, their passing is pretty poor. Only 3 players achieved greater than 80% success rate (two of those were on the field for a combined 16 minutes), whilst 6 had lower than 65%.
For comparison, we had 6 players above 80% (5 played the full game and Smith 60 mins), whilst only Roberts was below 70%.Seems to me like they’re going through transition into becoming a passing team.

Oh dear so he is so good in your view hence he has progressed nothing like other youngsters in similar periods from U23s . Plange head and shoulders above Stretton as just one recent example.
It’s almost like progression isn’t linear and is different for everyone.

Marriott used to do that to get the ball and it wasn't his game. When Mount was playing- different Marriott. He needs players to find him 6-7 yards from goal and move it quickly to get the best from him.
Marriott lost all ability to play football outside the box though.

The assistant manager their is Andy Quy who played for us for a bit I think. Tom Glick involved as well. Huge club with a whole 18 months of history. I don't think this has really worked out as planned has it.
Tom Glick is now at Chelsea as their “President of Business”.

Fair play. Not willing to sign for a league 1 youth team when he can play first team football in the same league.

In his 4 seasons at Luton, Collins played an average of 83% of the league minutes (74 minutes per game). We should be giving him a similar amount of game time this season. The remaining game time in the CF position is suitable for McGoldrick/Stretton depending on match circumstances.
That’s not how age and form work.

Even at CF we have Collins, McGoldrick, Stretton, and Barkhuizen. [Situation changes if Stretton is loaned out]
We need a RB starter. Oduroh, Knight, Smith, Barkhuizen and Mendez-Laing could all fill in
Sibley - Seems at odds with what Rosenior says about Sibley being part of his plans.
Stretton - makes sense as to why we're looking for another forward. I felt with his injury history he'd be better off as 3rd choice CF here with 20/30 mins off the bench. I fear with a loan he wouldn't be so carefully managed.
2x CFs - I'd be surprised if this is true when we play with one up top and already have Collins as first choice and McGoldrick as cover
Depends on your view of our strikers. McGoldrick isn’t a solo number 9 to me, Barkhuizen doesn’t like playing up front alone according to him and I don’t think Stretton is good enough.

Think analysing just one moment from his first game isnt going to tell you a lot, especially from some crude stills.
That said, he will frustrate at times this season but still score goals. He did a few poor Martin impressions with going down like a sideboard, more than a wardrobe. He isn’t the most athletic and you can see from his run through first half he’s certainly not a dribbler. But that said, an inch difference on that volley and he scores and it’s a perfect debut. There will be a lot of that I feel.

There are alot of players that can cover multiple positions so I went with their most likely position to keep it simple and to show where the gaps are.
Roberts, Forsyth, Hourihane, Knight, Sibley, NML, Barkhuizen, Dobbin & McGoldrick could all play in a different position
I get that logic, but that’s basically rendering the exercise pointless as you’re always going to end up wanting extra players when in reality there’s much more cover.
The only positions we are desperately short of proper cover is right back and striker. Arguably could do with another winger too, but less pressing with Dobbin now. Goalkeeper an outside shout but I don’t think we will spend the money and will just have Loach sat on the bench all year.

Hot in the south stand too, stood up and packed in. Not much air knocking about. Admittedly not quite in direct sunlight like those poor buggers in lower east - been there myself when I was younger, it is roasting.
