Mmm, there's been a couple of our players I'd like the manager to have mislaid a few times over the years but Cashin definitely isn't one of them! 

We're all different.
For me, there is plenty of doom and gloom in the real world without spending my downtime absorbing unnecessary negativity over a style of football.
Not saying everyone should be like me, I'm not the online football fan blueprint to follow, just doing what works well in my life.

Claire, i will not be able to attend due to work but i hope those who can will see Daniel safely past the Pride Park Stadium that he loved so much.
My friend of nearly 40 years, a season ticket holder in the South Stand, had his funeral cortege drive past the ground earlier this year and it was very sad. It broke many of us who are supposedly manly chaps because of how much it meant to him. 
It will be the same for you and your mum and dad, knowing how much that bit of land that used to be Chaddesden sidings now known as Pride Park (my late Dad worked for British Rail on this site for 32 years so it has real meaning for me) meant to Daniel.
I will make a donation in Daniel's memory and hope the fantastic good wishes from the members of this forum will give great comfort to all your family and friends.

The EFL only enforced said rules because Derby under MM were trying to find loopholes around FFP because we had overspent and had gone beyond the accepted profit and sustainability rules. And the reason we went over is because of bad recruitment. Of course the points deduction got us relegated. But there were a series of events that led to the points deduction.
And at the very top of the tree is poor recruitment.
All the events lead back to the summer of 2015/16. We had a squad of players with a wage bill of around 18 million per year and had finished 3rd and 8th the previous two years. Many recognised the reason we fell away in 2014/15 was a lack of cover for key positions such as Martin, Thorne/Mascarell/Eustace and out wide to improve on the ageing Ward after injuries.
So we decided to then spend 25 million plus that summer on a new GK (Carson), RB/Utility (Baird), CB (Shackell and Pearce), midfield (Butterfield and Johnson, neither being holding midfielders), a wide player (Ince) who was probably the only player identified to fit the role needed, and two ST (Bent and Weimann) when we already had Martin and they were completely different moulds.
9 players signed. 25 million spent. And only one of those actually fit into our team and could be deemed an upgrade. That is woeful recruitment and started the trainwreck which culminated in our relegation to League One.
 

I see this said for every league in every season. Is it poor or is it just expectations not being met?
Very rare do you hear anyone say it's a tough league with so many good teams.

I don't think McQuire qualifies for England. To be honest, it seems risky plying a 16 year old keeper at CB anyway.

Got mine as well, this is my 92nd visit to different league clubs.
After this one I will have done all the top three divisions.

Except he was doing this week in, week out for our academy for a long while. He came into the first team and because he wasn't immediately doing it for us there, a section of the fan base were straight on his back.
Morgan is a lovely, quiet guy - he did a lot of voluntary work with DCCT for example. He was hurt by the boo boys and it took him a while to recover his confidence. 
I hope he's a lesson learned for some of our brain dead fans, but I doubt it.

Safegate needs to go. His rhetoric on picking players who play and are in form is shown up to be hot air over and over again when he picks his pals. Then we get served up, once again, a festival of walking football punctuated with errors from 1 of the three amigos, Maguire. I’m sure he will get another one of his pals off the bench in Henderson at some point. 
Wasting the amount of attacking talent we have with this ultra defensive hypocritical bore merchant. 

The turtle post was my doing 😝 Daniel left his phone lying around unlocked so I started posting facts about turtles on his Facebook for my own amusement. After about of month of this, someone Dan worked with gave a small stuffed turtle because she thought he liked them so much 😂  That Christmas every present I gave Dan had turtles on them 🤣🤣🤣

We had a choreographed goal celebration when Nigel was boss, it involved all the team sitting back for the rest of the match and not venturing past the half way line 😀

Until the last week it has been a long time since I had been at a Derby Match. My Dad has said I’ve probably seen some of the best football so far this season. So, this thread is starting with genuine positivity from me, as my brother Daniel (B4) would also have done. This match means so much more to the Beavis family than any result. We want everyone to wave their scraves and flanges (not literally, ladies 🙈) and raise the roof for both DCFC and Daniel. Please share the details of the applause far and wide. 
I’m reliably told I need to predict a 3-0 win to Derby. 
My dad, Andy and I, will be in the east stand, stairway 35. We’ll be having a drink before the match and at halftime. Please do come and say hello.

Hello everyone, I’m Claire, Daniel’s (B4) sister. I am overwhelmed by your kind words, support, and the memories you have shared.  Thank you so much for the kindness and love you have all shown to Daniel over the years. My parents are working their way through all of the posts and will offer their own thanks in due course.
I wish I knew about the scraves, flanges and ballions before now. I wouldn’t have let Daniel live that down at home. This made my husband and I laugh this morning.
I will be wearing Daniel’s shirt and keeping his seat warm at the Bristol match. Really looking forward to hearing a big cheer and round of applause in the 38th minute, a goal at the time would be perfect!  Do please continue to share the picture with details of the applause. Let’s raise the roof for Daniel!!!

Andy, who is Daniel's dad, has just rung me to say that he has started to read through all your wonderful messages today. They have made him and Daniel's mum Lynne, cry and laugh in equal measure. 
Andy, Lynne, Daniel's sister Claire, their poodle Marley (Daniel was his butler!) and all the rest of the family are very grateful for the kind messages.
Regarding a tribute, they would prefer a round of applause on the 38th minute of the next home League game against Bristol Rovers on 25th November. There will be more friends and family who know Daniel there on that day, so it would seem more  appropriate than the cup replay this week.
 @David and @Owen87ITK, I  don't know if you can help organise this? And is it possible to have a photo on the big screen or is that not allowed? 
Andy has also asked me to share this photo of Daniel's seat yesterday, with a big thank you to all who came up to him to chat or offer condolences. He really appreciated it.
