RamuelLJackson
The three scorers for Bremen all came on as subs - two in the 70th minute and one in the 81st. I bet their coach is feeling pretty pleased with himself right now

RamuelLJackson
Maybe but they might not have had the same impact starting as they did entering the game when they did. Just got to be happy with his adjustments I think

Carl Sagan
A piece saying the lad might now be sent to Coventry: https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/coventry-city-eye-22-year-old-as-possible-jake-bidwell-replacement/ Wasn't there an issue over his contract/compensation? Was this ever resolved?

Was this ever resolved? Yes, we received a fee based on the FIFA prescribed compensation amounts for "training and development". I think it worked out at just over £300,000. Towards the end, teams were literally earmarking that as a way to get in behind our defence and it became a real problem for us. It didn't help that Byrne was on the other side and neither were particularly tall, but it became a trend that teams kept trying that, often with success.
