ck- reacted to Olton Ram in EFL appeal
Just think that all these puns came from one simple spelling mistake. I'm sure that everyone will be typing more Caerphilly in future.

Yeah he could go to another team where he also wouldn't get into the first team based on his performances, then repeat.
Alternatively he could follow the footsteps of several promising youngsters like Sterling and Foden for example, who also struggled to get a regular starting place in the lineup. They listened to the advice (criticism in some eyes) given to them, took it on board and have become players who now consistently live up to their potential. Not doing it once every 10-15 games.

Disagree. Fine margins in this league.
No doubt the squad needs work, but this gradual progression rubbish winds me up. It’s hard to build gradually in this league, failure to go up in a year or two means your best players bugger off. Add 3-4 right players, confidence high, big work ethic, togetherness, unity, strength, power, anything can happen.

Good luck to him, don't get the animosity towards him at all. Hope he does well!

He’s a young lad who might just make the most money in one go that he will ever see if his career doesn’t pan out. He’s 16. He’s not a Derby fan.
How many of us at that age could honestly say we wouldn’t jump at the chance at a massive pay off, just for moving clubs.
Sometimes fans have an absolute skewed view of life.
I run my own company that I’ve built from the ground up. My wife is my business partner and we are now quite successful and growing. I couldn’t be more invested in the company I work for and love being my own boss. I consider myself as a very loyal type.
However, even I had my head turned when I was head hunted by a national company and was really tempted to join them and in part it was the pay incentive, the ‘national’ aspect etc. In the end I decided to stay and continue to grow my own company, but it was a massive decision for me.
And some of us are expecting a 16 year old with no other investment in the club than a year or so of training to NOT be enticed by a big pay day and ‘national’ pull.

Thats totally understandable to me. I don't think you can blame them for thinking that way. Yes, there is a chance of breaking through for 1st team action at Derby but even then just look at the numbers of how many don't make it through. In Kaide's case he will have seen his brother get towards the fringes of the first team squad only to then have to drop down a few levels.
If they're good enough to be getting interest from clubs like Liverpool then they should back themselves to make a breakthrough there. Liverpool are using their top academy players at least in the cups, so if they're good enough they could stake a claim. There will always be a lot of interest in the youngsters who are let go by clubs like Liverpool as well so they are giving themselves a very good chance of making it at a higher level.
As much as I want all our young talent to come through and play for us, it's such a high pressure environment with a fairly small chance of success that I don't think you can begrudge them the chance for a big move.

Sorry, but this expectation that he should stay here when a team like Liverpool come in is frankly laughable.
Careers can be short, he might not make the grade but that's irrelevant. This opportunity might only present itself to him once. I'd take it if I were him.
We are Derby County, between owners, struggling to pay wages and in a second tier relegation scrap. They are Liverpool, champions of England and one of the most famous clubs in the world. If it was your son what would you want him to do?

With a very young player its sometimes its a case of a balance what is on offer now against what may or may not be on offer later on.
It our current predicament we need funds and the lad does not want to sign a contact with us.
So the only thing we can do is try to negotiate the best possible deal we can possibly get.
If a number of clubs want him this becomes a little easier if however he and his family have their heart set on one then we have to go with their wishes.
If we get a good amount up front now and then include add on on for appearances, caps, percentage sell on then all the better.
The lad and his parents should leave on the best of terms with our blessing.
This sends out a wonderful message to other would be talents if they join our club they will be helped to develop their skills, given a route into the 1st team and we will not stand in their way or hinder their future progress.

Good luck to the lad, an amazing opportunity for him and his family. Hopefully we have some sell on clauses.

I'm not going to keep going over it, if you think that you know better then fair enough. At the end of the day he is a 16 year old kid, who was trying to make the best decision about his future, I'm not sure what is so wrong with that and why they couldn't give him the time to make that decision. They needed the money and that's why he's going.

Kaide Gordon is still at school and not on a Pro contract. All we get is compensation. Just like with Liam Delap. Just like Swindon with Bogle.

Not quite true. Could easily have got another two points at Newcastle but for a Moore error. Both Bolton games too, Both Fulham games, Pompey at home, both Chelsea (disallowed goal) and Liverpool (foul on Mears) at home could’ve been very different. There were obviously major tonkings, but all in all, there were ten games we weren’t bad, Man City away too.

Got this today from the only man to have played every game in both of the first division championship season ! Goalkeepers were certainly braver back in the day ! (In my opinion ?)
