I just want to say how lucky you are to have Paul Warne as manager. I've supported the millers for 69 years. Obviously, I've seen managers come and go during that period. As far as I'm concerned, and many other fans Warne is the best manager we've had.
Like Derby fans we went through some dark times. Administration points deducted, lost our ground, forced to play in Sheffield in an athletic stadium. No atmosphere, 4 years in the 4th division.
Paul has many qualities. Excellent staff management, a workaholic. He's articulate, honest and will live and breathe Derby County.
I thank him for all the memories, 3 Wembley wins 3 promotions and I wish him well and as a consequence wish the Rams well. I've never had a second team, but for the first time Derby County will be my second team. I look forward to seeing Paul succeed. 
Hopefully Derby will be promoted and we survive in the championship and look forward to see you at the New York stadium.

I know it’s been said already, but I think the reason DC wanted a change is not league position, but the direction of travel in terms of football style, tactics etc is not how he (as a fan in the stands) wanted it.
This is why he only went interim initially as he had reservations that we would see continuation of Rooney method, which he did not personally like that much.
If the ticka tacka had got us top two and tearing it up, he would have surely got the job, but suspect like many on here, can’t see things changing much and potentially get worse as other teams work out the formula.

I’m hoping we can get Jack Stretton back from his loan in January.  I think he’d be ideal to fill the gap we have up front.  Do you agree?

Hi guys
My nephew, Jake passed away on August 12th aged 23. Despite being dealt a bad hand he enjoyed life to the full possessing a sharp, dry wit and a fondness for dressing well - the other thing we had in common ? was our love for Derby County!
Many of you will recognise Jake, a life-long season ticket holder in the West Stand attending matches with his Dad.
His family are orchestrating a minutes applause at the 23rd minute during the Port Vale home match on Saturday October 8th.
Extended family will be in attendance and there will be a brief write up about Jake in the match day programme. 
These tributes are becoming more common, but I think that because they are often not official and fan-led they are even more poignant - and it would be a great gesture for one of our own.
Assistance in spreading the word from members of this forum would be so very much appreciated.

For me, style is irrelevant, results are needed to get out this league. Tapping it around at the back and getting 80% possession but scoring less than Burton isn't going to get us promotion imo. All those moaning about Rowettball, would 100% take that if we were constantly winning games and achieved promotion, anyone who says otherwise is a liar and just being awkward to stand by their silly opinions ?

I doubt we could have been successful in this league playing the way we have been, teams have been able to successfully counter the threat of our setups but we just don’t the have a solution to regain the initiative.

How have they managed to spend that much money but still end up with Worrall, Cook and McKenna at the back. Shambolic.

Might both be with a view to permanents in January? Who knows. Doesn’t effect anything and I’m sure the club know what they’re doing. Hardly like they’re going to be frittering money away is it?

Weirdly I had a similar vein of thought yesterday...how fleeting and double edged 'success' can be in football. 
Forest have their best season in decades and celebrate like mad. We have our worst season ever and potentially go out of business and are relieved it's just relegation to a level we haven't visited for decades.
But the actual result could easily be that Forest spend a miserable season getting hammered and are relegated with a load of players desperately wanting to leave. We have an enjoyable season that ends with a promotion party and a motivated team with momentum....and we are both in the same division.

Boro Chairman has approached the EFL with his concerns that Premier League players shouldn't be playing in the EFL and is consulting his lawyers.
