I will be honest here, for all I love to mock the afflicted, make fun of their dew claws, take much humour in the failings of their hopes and dreams, I've met, worked with, chatted to had drinks with vairious people who support forest over the years, and by and large they are just regular people trying to cope with misfortune of their forest indoctronation.

Yes, when we play each other, things get silly, i want them to lose every match they play, same as most forest fans probable have a wee chuckle every time we lose.

But they're human beings at the end of the day.

not like leeds fans. leeds fans are *redacted*

Shocking. Let's not pretend there aren't an equal number of Derby fans happy to make Doughty jokes, but the fact they've allowed that on their forum is just disgraceful.

Are the posts still up there?

I don't see many Doughty jokes really mate although perhaps there on a different platform. I do remember that he stopped taking his children to Forest games though because of the abuse they used to get .  About the same time Forest fans began singing about Robbie Savages dad dying from dementia whenever he got near them.

So what are we hoping for? Semi final Al defeat so we can still laugh at how they’ve never been to Wembley, or a heart breaking final defeat, so we can taste their tears through the tv screen?

Semi finals preferable.  If they can be a couple of goals up like normal and already paid non refundable deposits for hotel rooms and coaches it's more fun.

Why should any of us be told that?

I think without getting into the nitty gritty of his incoming and outgoings, seeing a gross profit within the public domain that would equate to the management of accrued debt and the covering of some nice loan fees and free transfer wages for at least 15 players going forward would help everyone relax about us not being in the same scenario in 2 years.

I'll get the answer if we get more points deducted to be honest.

35 million was mentioned in the podcast thing with Ed Dawes. If it’s this price, surely that would cover HMRC and the football creditors and so avoiding further penalties??

Kirchner said in December that he was putting in up to 60m over 2 years in his bid. If he has those funds a 15 point punishment is not a guarantee, especially now the stadium isn’t part of the deal.

Thats nice off him.  I would like to know where the hell he's getting it from though

Everton have also got a really, really tough run in until the end of the season. Tougher than Burnley have IMO.

They seem to be wanting Allardyce in ?.  Strong rumours per my Everton mate that their board are meeting this afternoon so Frank can probably get to that bar and have a sing song with his mates earlier this year. He spent 25 million with another 40 on Deli Alli to come.  If they do go down they'll probably get straight back up.  If they don't they can enjoy the delights of Accrington within 2 seasons as they won't have a pot to piss in. Everton, Derby, Sunderland, Sheff Wed, Ipswich, Portsmouth in League One.  If you fell asleep 15 years ago  and woke up seeing in 2024  you'd think someone was taking the piss.

  7. What can I say

Their Hillsborough Denial thread was a doozy, but I think they might have deleted it.

What can I say.  I've only met two Forest fans in my life who weren't total Bamfords at any given point and ones dad supported Derby and the other ones son supported Derby which must have brought some semblance of being human into the home.  They tend to have this tendency to push past the point of what's decent when they start losing an argument or have more than 2 pints.  Often it's the delusion of grandeur that no one else on the planet backs up that causes these outbursts .  They need to dig out those dusty Betamax videos from under the stairs, open that can of 30 yr out of date Shipstones rusting at the back of the fridge and console themselves to the fact that their poster boy always wanted this badge to kiss as befits the bigger and more historic club.  Life will be much calmer.

  8. Derby survived on 44 points last year. This year, the only teams outside of relegation spots currently who don't have 44 points are Hull (41) and Reading (37, with a six point deduction). Both teams have six games left to play...

Derby should have been relegated last year. Indeed Forest dodged relegation on goal difference a couple years prior on 51 points.

Their time has rightly, finally ran out. Cheating had caught up with them, pure blind luck that they might have stayed up this year on mid 30s points total has run out.

Yes, Derby must go down for cheating at the expense of a team that cheated twice as much in half the time.  What a bunch of ducking jokers.

    Absolutely this.

In a transfer window when Tom Cairney moves for 4 million, we buy  Bradley Johnson for 6.

We wouldn't pay a few million for Dale Stephen's or Lewis Dunk, but had no problem spending 5 million on Butterfield.

We wouldn't raise the bar for Ollie Watkins, but we're happy to pay 2 million for an ageing Nugent and probably paid him twice the wages.

Our whole recruitment under Morris was an embarrassment.

To be fair, we offered more for Stephens than Butterfield.  He wanted to come but Brighton wouldn't budge.  At that point we spent 4 million on a bloke Huddersfield signed for 300 k a year before

Started OK, winning the 6 pointer vs Barnsley. Haven't kicked on, as has been the case all season.

    Can’t get a run going.

I assume twitter is full tonight of Forest, OTIB cultists and Coventry fans saying they can't celebrate Readings win and probable survival, as they're cheats who broke FFP at double the rate Derby did in 3 years in just18 months.  That it's terrible Barnsley and Peterborough might not stay up and a Reading defeat and relegation would be the correct end to the season.  They're also agreeing I assume, that with  the recent rule changes Derby should be given 2 points back for the 20/21 season as it's only correct that every ones treated fairly.

    Stoke forwards are el crappo.

They sold one to Forest for 3 million thanks to that 13.5 million they got back for the Portuguese wonder kid who didn't play for 4 years.  Good job that Greek club came in unexpectedly to give then them such a large fee and leave Stoke a striker short.  Stoke should have used the 3 million to get someone in and told the  EFL to write off as a covid loss for FFP, missed the boat only claiming the 81 million.

I’m not supporting anything said in his tweets, but it really annoys me when things from peoples childhoods are brought up.

There’s been many sports people who have had careers ruined because of tweets from their past, most when they were teenagers.

Teenagers say and do stupid things, i’ve looked back at memories on social media from 10+ years ago and cringed why I ever thought that was cool…admittedly I haven’t ever put anything remotely offensive but the point stands that I was naive.

What makes me laugh is that all these Forest fans are so desperate to see us continue to suffer that they’ve gone back 13 years on his tweets to find anything that might jeopardise it. I wonder if they’d have had the same concern if he was on the verge of buying Preston?

Said earlier mate, they must have had these emails in draft for 8 weeks and remembered to send them today.
