What a pointless post.
It doesn’t change anything but I thought it was an appropriate statement to apologise to, and recognise, the fans.

Something that's true in all walks of life is that when people say that communication isn't good enough, all we ask is that you talk to us etc etc, what they actually mean is 'tell us what we want to hear'....
I'm hopeful but not at all confident that this announcement and our survival will be enough to quieten the various 'fans' groups and vocal knobs on here and Twitter.

Reading that 49 page Charge they took out last August with MSD for the first time in a while, there must be something I'm missing
He's missing
A- A life
B- A responsible adult to take him out for a few hours
C- His entire supply of headache tablets after Cardiff's equaliser
D- All of the above

I thought that the accounts haven't been published because they are subject to the appeal the EFL lodged against our accounting practices?

Massive summer & you're right, the wage bill is going to be at its most manageable since 2013 but still with plenty of talent/saleable assets in the squad. Its a great opportunity.
There's no reason why we can't be top half but we need to sort out the off-field situation quickly with respect to the ownership & bringing in a competent manager. We can then focus on the recruitment we need.
Ideal chain of events;
1. Alonso's takeover is blocked by the EFL on the basis of non-transparency of funds, his association with Matt Southall & his Trump-esque tweets suggesting he has the emotional intelligence of a 14 year old
2. Rooney spits his dummy out & resigns...'I saved this club & deserve better'
3. Club is taken over by the rumoured local bid. No big spending but plan to run the club sustainably focusing on young talent & improving players.
4. Director of Football hired to run the football side including overall responsibility for scouting, recruitment & Academy
5. Ian Evatt joins as new manager on a 3 year deal
6. Bring in players in areas of real weakness from June onwards...especially CB, CF & arguably a dominant midfielder

I'd only play 1 CDM in this game with Knight & Sibley switching , and Joswiak & Lawrence to do the same.
I'd play Marshall & Forsyth simply for the experiance factor. Wingers to play fairly tight and cut inside which is what they are both best at and let the fullbacks provide the width.

If Rooney somehow stays, what justification is there?
If our young players were excelling, it would make sense. If we were consistently trying to play good and positive football and there were green shoots, it would make sense.
If key players were playing at or above their expected level, it would make sense. If we’d ended the season strongly and full of momentum, it would make sense.
But on every metric you can imagine, Rooney falls down.
I don’t get this idea that if we win or draw on Saturday and stay up we should keep Rooney in the interests of fairness. What’s fair in football nowadays?
We have to be thinking in the interests of success. Is Rooney our best chance of success next season? Are you looking forward to next season under Rooney?
If the answer to either question is no, why waste any more time on Rooney?

I'd have though £500-600k would be a more realistic fee. May not be realistic for us though.

Absolutely nothing of substance there. 
If I was in the kitchen staff, groundsman etc I'd be worried about my job/new owner...hardly anything new there though.

Marshall isn't good enough, even for a top L1 side, let him go.
No-one will be coming in for Bielik whilst he's injured.
 
In summary, the one player from your list who I wouldn't want us to sell, won't be sold.

It might not have worked out the way he or us as fans would have wanted but i just want to thank Mel for his efforts while he was owner of the club. Hopefully this move is a good one and it brings a bit more stability to the club. COYR
