Just in from a phenomenal afternoon at pride park (had to drop the number 1 son back at Nottingham uni afterwards)
Almost had us in tears at the start of the game as the crowd was the loudest and proudest I've ever heard it and the players reacted to it as soon as they came down the tunnel...even they were in awe of the noise and the stoke fans were immediately shocked into silence.
Immensely proud of the team today who all fought like lions and of all of the fans who continued to be relentless in their support.
I love this club and I'll support it whatever is thrown at us and wherever we end up.

Been at the match and was so so proud of how everyone conducted themselves. The players are really playing for each other and putting bodies on the line for the cause, the manager got his tactics right and then there was the support. It was rocking at the end. Relief, joy, laughter was abound. We were all on the same wavelength today. The players, management and supporters are truly pulling out everything to keep this club in business. Long may it continue. Very very proud to be a Ram. This is what this city is to football. We need to stay afloat and the league needs our great club. From a very hoarse Ram! COYR.

Not sure if someone else has put this up but a bit of class from Michael O’Neill
“We had two really good chances before we did score, but I can't begrudge Derby the win, they've had a really difficult 24 hours.
"I thought they showed great spirit in how they played, the crowd were terrific as well."

Inevitable! Frigging angry, sad, and completely numb as to how we are now! I love this club not the frigging chairman, not the owner, this club! Worst we have ever been in over 50 years supporting this club! However, we need to support the team tomorrow no matter what! Wait until AFTER THE MATCH TO DEMONSTRATE NOT BEFORE. Show the rest of the country what TRUE FOOTBALL FANS ARE not the ones who purport to be! The team AND manager need us.

I think this thing must be a big enough ball-ache for @mozza to do without him having to try and decypher what people mean.

That's been a case from almost every outlet that has had anything to say about this process from start to finish a couple of years ago. It also, at least in my mind, is one of the reasons that so many fans of other clubs carry the perception that we are guilty beyond all possible doubt.
Not one news agency has taken a step back, done any reasonable analysis and published something close to the actual situation, at least not from what I have seen.

None of the decisions made by the EFL have made sense to supporters of other clubs - usually because the full details are never released. - basically you should only ever be penalised if the written rules are broken and the punishments are fully known beforehand and are non negotiable- penalising clubs over grey areas is simply not right it’s vindictive and open to Abuse by a hidden agenda.

For those bemoaning the lack of attacking presence and goal threat, I can understand to some extent- it’s not an easy watch. But my view is that last night was one of around 6-10 games this season (depending on form) where we realistically can expect a point at best; maybe three points only if the stars really align.
So sacrificing that goal threat for a few games to put us in a better place to pick up bonus points against the top, top sides- that’s fine by me. The situation we’re in, we have to sometimes sacrifice style to survive.
What I am more concerned about is the lack of goal threat in games where we should really be hoping for more than a point. Stoke at home is an interesting test- they’ve started well this season, but I think nearly all of us are hoping for a more open game as we chase a win at home.

Meh, I don’t think Eustace would have looked as good as Johnson did in 16/17. You can’t underestimate how good he was in the air. Teams would target Keogh aerially if they had a lump up front but whenever Johnson was sitting he’d screen target men so effectively it wasn’t even an issue.

Under Lampard he did, on occasions, show that he could run football matches himself as well. Brentford and Man United spring to mind.
Eustace was certainly more consistent and streetwise. I know a lot of that Derby team say he’s the best that they’ve ever played with - which always surprised me when you think how good Thorne was.

Don’t get the dislike towards Waghorn. Not the greatest player, or the smartest, but he always gave his all & scored some very important goals for us.
We overpaid for him, but that’s not his fault. He’s moved on now & doesn’t really deserve  the grief to be honest. Marriott seems to get a lot less grief, and did very little for us compared to Waghorn.

Not for the first time either. We were the first club to suggest shirt sponsorship, but the idea was thrown out by the FL. When they finally agreed to it we were on our way down from the old second division.

I’ve not quite caught up in this thread yet, with another 5 pages to go, but I can’t help thinking that now wasn’t the best time to ditch the u12 freebies, rehash the whole seat categories, and whatever other changes they have brought in.
It seems that the reputed limited staff numbers, on reputed limited hours, have all on dealing with difficulties and/or enquiries relating to the numerous refunds, discounts etc, some dating back to pre and/or early COVID (spring 2020/Millwall away etc?).

I suspect those that are working are under pressure, and quite possibly dreading the doors opening again to walk-ins!
When the doors do open again, I’d like to think folk will consider this little offering that I spotted on a blackboard outside a village pub yesterday…
”The world is currently understaffed. Please be kind to those that bothered to turn up”!
Whatever the problems, and whatever the cause, remember that if there is blame to be meted out, it needs to go higher than the front line workers.

Now, I really must catch up on this thread to the end…

    Edit:
And as for SLO’s “taking a few days off during the international break”, one would imagine if they can navigate themselves through the Twitter maze, a simple “Out of office” auto email response would not be beyond them?  Even I can manage the latter!

I think the point of his intervention is that it's not good enough to communicate with a tiny portion of the fans, it needs to be all of us.
The recent meeting was a terrible idea, but the blame lies on the club, not the attendees. I'd imagine several of those present would love to just spill what was said, and damn the consequences, but fear doing so could put the entire future of DCFC in the balance.
That's not a burden that should have been placed on their shoulders, all the meeting has achieved is division and suspicion amongst the fan base, and increased speculation to fill the vacuum of silence.

Whatever the truth of the matter is … and none of us know … I remain certain that the EFL has not applied it’s detective rigour to any other club with anything like the same degree of tenacity, detail and b minded doggedness. Whether that counts for anything in a legal setting I have no idea.

Its never enough though is it?  And things are getting worse at an ever increasing rate.
Since before the beginning of the pandemic I have found myself increasingly at odds with a lot of 'stuff' thats going on.  Mainstream media and social media are both fueling and driving division to such a degree that they see hate almost everywhere - stuff that I just don't see in my everyday life, so I've started to detach.
My Sky subscription (of approx 30 years) ends at the end of the month and my TV licence will follow.  Other than here I have very little social media presence and have cancelled all my news subscriptions/follows etc.
The world is going bonkers and this is just another example.  Is there really any reason to dig up nearly decade old tweets made by a teenager to punish him as a man?  Its time to drop out, walk my dogs, spend time with my family and live in a reality that is worlds away from the biased hateful crap force fed to you by the media all the time.

I think expectations were reasonably high going into last season. We had shown some promising signs in Cocu's first season and got ourselves into playoff contention, before finishing poorly as we ran out of steam vs most of the top sides.
I think that first 11 and bench is better than where we were before the start of last season. We've got used to bloated squads (not on quality, but just numbers) where it was difficult to know who our best players were supposed to be.
We've had lots of good youngsters for a while now, and these should have been our bench and squad for a few seasons, rather than expensive and poor backups.
If your better players get injured and your young backups aren't quite ready, you won't challenge for the playoffs. That is true for all clubs in this league who are trying to operate without ruining themselves financially.
Expensive squad players who aren't good enough for the first 11 has been the main failing of the Mel years. Anya, Blackman, Butterfield, Malone, Marriott, Johnson plus more probably. Huge amounts of transfer fees and wages when a free youngster could hardly have been less effective...and also would have improved from the experience.
Forsyth has done more for us each season than all those lot ever did put together. And he was just some cheap squad player who couldn't get in a poor Watford team.

No need to worry about accent, as we travelled with the Liverpool Supporters Derby Branch, and they were known to the locals, as they stood in the same place every game.
No need to worry about cheering a goal, as we lost 5-0!
