Don’t understand the full ins and outs with the current situation (not sure anyone does).

Looks to be yet another gripe we’ve fallen awry of.

They will do whatever the EFL need to do to bring DCFC to task. If we have indeed failed these regulations then we have no grounds for complaints. However if we are indeed compliant then we need to seek legal representation and take these imbeciles to task.
Don’t know about the rest of you but I am sick to death of this pantomime being played out, Particularly when we are being treated like mushrooms ???

This guy has been absolutely bang on about A LOT of things this transfer window. Said Danny Ings was going to Villa about a day before it happened when no one knew a thing about it.

All these ITK experts especially on Twitter I usually approach with extreme caution - a knackered clock is correct twice a day after all.

Not saying he's right or wrong in this instance I just wouldn't ascribe any more credence to this merchant then anyone else.

Someone made a good point regarding this charge on twitter:

If payments are made in instalments over time and they’re continuously paid but late, the charge would surely be constantly in and out of that list.

Is that supposed to make anyone feel better? I am old school. Pay your debts as they fall due. So many posters are getting worked up about P&S calculations and amortisation. Bugger all that. Morris has run up debts in the name of Derby County - HMRC, Cocu, Keogh, now some transfer fees. Pay people what they are owed.

It screams to me we don’t have the cash to pay them, either through income or from the owner. It’s really frightening now and the silence makes it so much worse.

Not at all, but I'm trying to think of reasons it could be disappearing and reappearing...

That's not really how football works though, is it? Nearly everything is paid in installments and with multiple clauses, and the odd late payment is kept in-house and not reported unless it goes months/years past due. Nobody is giving their ex manager a £5m lump sum directly after sacking them.

There will be tonnes of missed payments resulting from the pandemic and clubs losing all of their income for 18 months, they just aren't getting published online every time they happen. The last failure to pay was supposedly to Peterborough (although not confirmed officially) and yet their chairman was on a podcast was backing Mel up as a good owner.

Even so, do you not think that these payments may just have been a bit more timely had the club had to contend not only with the pandemic but, concurrently, the EFL hounding them to death for two years over what ultimately boils down to a disagreement on a technicality of accounting procedures?

Assuming it doesn't relate to a player who has already left the club, here are only a select few players it can relate to: Bielik, Lawrence and Jozwiak. All other players were free, academy, or stayed with us beyond their original contract (unlikely for installments to stretch outside the length of original contract)

It'd also seem odd for it to be Lawrence given the amount of time since he signed. Not saying it's impossible but I think it's unlikely.

I might be misrembering but didn't we pay some kind of nominal fee for Byrne last summer and maybe Marshall?

i recall Marshall being free (Wigan wanting to save on the wages) and Byrne was £250k (likely all upfront). I can't see it being either of them

What was the point of the supporters group meeting as we have no minutes and no information from it. Basically a couple of people were told stuff and thousands and thousands of fans no absolutely nothing. I’m getting sick and tired of this club now while he’s running it and I think why do I bother turning up to home and away games like I have so far this season cheering on the team when the bloke who runs it couldn’t give a ?. Right now I would rather take the point deduction and get him closer to being gone and actually look forward as right now it’s limbo

Will taking a points deduction actually get us anywhere near a new owner though?

If anything it will put off prospective suitors even more knowing the likelihood of us playing in League 1 next season will increase considerably.
