We need the best League 2 players for League 1, they’ll want to prove theirselves and wages will be low at the start.
Mixed in with a few old reliable pro’s.

When you are a buyer whichever business you are in there are ways to do a deal, whatever the obstacles.
KC stepped away from the club and then came back,  as the preferred bidder, that is always a good sign he wants the business/club, you should be so happy that he all being well will save the club, what i have heard and seen from KC the club should be in good hands.
No i do not know what KC is worth for not interested, the only people who need to know are the EFL to pass him fit and proper to take over the club, the administrators and Derby County already know that he has the funds to do this.

I want to see derby sign either Cole stockton or Alfie May.
That would show a desire to do something about the mess that clubs in.

How many times do we need to go over this? It was not a court, it was an EFL players tribunal. It didn't say we sacked the wrong people, it said we'd wrongly dismissed Keogh. He wouldn't have won an employment tribunal because he was no longer fit to carry out his job and would only have received a small payment even if he did (which is why he went to the EFL instead.)
I don't think Bennett and Lawrence got away with it, they were both convicted in a court of law and have completed their reparation. They were both able to continue to do their jobs.

But he - or anyone buying us - is not effectively buying nothing.  They are buying Derby County FC and all that means, from its history and reputation to its access to Moor Farm and PP (currently) and its golden share and position in the league/EFL structure.  And, most of all they are buying potential.
If you want to buy a football club in the English leagues (and that might be a good question to ask) you could go for one in the EPL and have to pay hundreds of millions, if not billions.  Try one in the Championship post Covid and, apart from a very few, you'll be buying debt that runs into many tens of millions - see Birmingham/Bristol - and not many with our facilities and with our manager's football reputation and with our academy's reputation and with our proven fanbase, which is important if you want to build a club.  And most of all you are buying a club that has a once in a lifetime opportunity to reset.  So many players out of contract at once gives us an opportunity to reset the playing staff almost completely both in terms of footballing ability and salary.  I bet there aren't many in that position - there'll be plenty who owe millions but have players on long, expensive contracts - and who might just envy us that opportunity.
Mel was right about three things - the importance of our Academy structure, the broad incompetence of the EFL and the hugely damaging financial impact of the Covid/non attendance season

Derby fans taking delight in Birmingham's plight should be ashamed. Yes, I'm well aware of the 'party' chant, but confident that's the empty vessels speaking the loudest.
Don't stoop to their level. No football fan deserves what we are going/have gone through.
    Not even Millwall.

Off the back of this discussion, I've  always thought were not very welcoming  for visiting supporters.  I know there are safety and security issues, but perhaps a fan park for visitors?  . You treat people like animals  you get animal behaviour IMO. Of course theres always a few idiots

Well CK has alluded to this so it's not entirely surprising that people are talking about it. If we're to be sustainable on the pitch then we need to grow the off the pitch side of things, it's not rocket science. It doesn't have to mean huge investment, it does need some imagination though.

Check your blood pressure too?   stressing about others opinions on here won’t do you any good.
Also, any articles “dug up” on here will not scupper any deal. We aren’t that important.
The takeover will go through when the monies in the bank and the EFL’s satisfied.

No one wants anything to fail, unfortunately this chap isn't the normal ' I have an international company and you can see I make 80 million profit a year' investor which leads to far less questions.  I have a jet worth 22 million and made money from crypto raises concern after the last two years and seeing the Wigan debacle unfold.  No point hounding him over where he has money from if that's all he's willing to say but while Alonsos crib was a bit of a giggle, we're now a club that has too satisfy a committee to move forward,  bring in at least 15-20 players under restriction, settle debt,  accept largely reduced levels of tv money, golden share money and sponsorship and he has to negotiate with Morris who has publicly lambasted over the stadium, as well as fund an entity by x amount of millions on an annual basis. The only reason he's interested is that the council involvement may make it easier and we're still talking about a 15 point deduction on top despite that initial funding relief of having to find 20 plus million to secure the stadium.  I'd also point out that most of the questions he appears to get are genuine questions apart from one fella with a bee in his bonnet, idiots from down the road and Preston fans who have got all riled up.
He's getting this attention based on track record and willingness to publicly answer questions and could at any time thank people for the questions and say nowt.  That's his choice.

Interesting that PNE have put out a statement and it seems a PNE fan has asked him about it.  Maybe they should read the Q&A……
When asked about why he pulled out of purchasing Preston North End he said
“Let’s do a hypothetical here… Ever buy a car? If someone raises the price halfway through the deal by 10% over what you agreed then wants to force you to buy options and packages you don’t want/need with the car, would you buy it?”
“We started comparing every other club to Derby in terms of infrastructure. The other clubs we looked at needed significant improvements to produce players through the academy at the level we want long term.”
He never said the price went up by 10%, he gave a hypothetical example.  He talks about the infrastructure, etc and I think some posters talked about buying land for the PNE academy.  Rather than the actual purchase price, maybe it’s things like this that were added in/discovered during due diligence that increased his investment.  Maybe not at the time of initial purchase but in the months/years following.  That probably made us more attractive as in our case it already in place, just needs to be maintained.  To use his car analogy, for us, he doesn’t need to buy the car, just keep it serviced.

Sibley is the player Wazza won’t use but dare not let him leave . When Leeds came calling , Mel said they did not have enough money.Rooney clearly has a problem with Sibley. Bird and Lawrence get straight reds and Rooney says he wants them to “Play on the edge” . But Sibley can’t be trusted when he gets booked. Under a Wilder/Cooper type manager , Sibley could smash the Championship and make Wazza look foolish. So to hear Rooney say the Wales manager should forget his reservations about Lawrence is a bit hypocritical.

A bit like with managers, there is no guarantee of success whether its someone local or abroad, up & coming or experienced.
What we do know is CK is the only person so far to put his money where his mouth is and bid enough to be PB, so unless that falls through he should get our full support just like Rooney & the players have had.
He has shown proof of funds to the admins, Preston & the EFL so far - us fans will never get to see his true worth and nor should we so I will take it that he has enough money if he signs on the dotted line and becomes our owner.
I also have no issue with him on Twitter, I have always liked the way Peterboroughs owner has interacted on there so if done in the right way I think it could be a good thing for us, alot of criticism of Mel was how there was a lack of communication.
So, for now, he is the man saving us from liquidation, lets show him our support and back him until there is a reason not to.

With an English accent you can tell them anything and they will believe you. Where I worked a woman used to call the office just to hear me talk. I love them bits though, so much so I became one in 2010. I have two nice shiny passports now. I love pissing off TSA and customs both sides of the Atlantic. I was once asked at Manchester airport how long I would be in the states for. As long as I want, I said. No you won't, you can only stay (3 months I think it was) he said. Nope pretty sure I can stay longer, I replied. Now he was getting annoyed. As a British citizen you cannot stay as long as you want. Ok then, I got my US passport out, put it on the counter and told him I would travel on this one then. Cue red face and muttering about smart arse wasting his time. Childish I know, but anything for a laugh.
