Forget Martin for crying out loud. I'll be glad when he retires so people stop talking about him coming back here

His Wiki account has been updated!
Tony Gary Springett (born 22 September 2002) is an English-born professional footballer who plays as a winger for Derby County FC. He's joined the mighty rams. In his opening statement he said ' Derby are massive’ and Notts Forest are going down.

Ram-a-lama fa fa fa reacted to BaaLocks in Vivienne Westwood - RIP
OK - this might not be the place where much time is given to discussing fashion (save @David banging on about his new Apple gizmo) but Vivienne was, after all, a Derbyshire lass so she's worth it. And she so brought the ethos of punk to the clothing - it's hard to think that punk would have been anything of the shock it was without the clothing that went with it. Steve Jones on the BIll Grundy show with his 'boobs' t-shirt, Johnny Rotten singing Anarchy in his Mummy vest, the kissing Cowboys, all of it was driven by the art school brigades out of St Martins In The Field and led, so led, by Vivienne Westwood. An absolute icon of the time, the late 1970s would not have been the same without her. RIP Viv.

Ram-a-lama fa fa fa reacted to loweman2 in An excellent Christmas gift.
I have updated the Colours of The Rams book considerably in format and content, it is now 220 pages of interesting facts, photos, newspaper cutting and of course Derby County Football shirts!
meticulously researched and done in a time line from 1884 to present day covering The Racecourse years, the BBG and Pride Park.
it’s the sort of book that you can pick up as often as you want and use as a reference book.
it is not done as a money maker and only a tiny profit is made is is a labour of love, if you have one of the first two versions it’s still worth updating and it makes a great Christmas present for any rams fan of any age !
as always thanks to you guys for your ongoing support over the years !
at least with it being from Amazon it’s not going to get held up by postal strikes, any questions just ask !
Happy Christmas and Up the Rams ??

Actually I only had it for around 10 minutes and my daughter took it home to be framed so haven’t had a good look at the signatures. Did notice Tom Lawrence on the side and Festy.

People kept voting Tory in the 80s while they sold the things we all owned. The rest of Europe laughed at us. They are laughing even louder now

One of my WhatsApp groups are planning to wear Christmas jumpers on Saturday.
40 years ago we'd have been planning to ambush the away fans at the station.
I'm dreaming of a White Christmas, just like the ones I used to know...?

Ram-a-lama fa fa fa reacted to Gee SCREAMER !! in Bielik at Brum
Brighton had this problem with Dale Stephens when other clubs - including us were interested. Bournemouth had it with Simon Francis - us again . On both occasions they told the player suck it up buttercup your staying. Both got promoted
I don't give a s*** about Bieliks wants and needs. They been well serviced with an eye watering salary over 5 years for a player who came here with a full season in League 1 under his belt and a 5 month holiday to let him play a couple of hours at the world cup. Time to get your arse back and do your job, unless a financial package comes in at the relevant amount to bring this b******* to a grinding halt and allow us to strengthen in January.

Which was funniest:
That penalty shoot out vs Spain when CR7 waited for the last one and didn't get chance to take it. Portugal were better than Spain in that game too but CR7 missed loads of chances (if I remember right).
Or...
The Euros that Portugal won, when they drew all 3 group games, then ended up with an easy path to the final. They were dire throughout, but only won because CR7 went off injured and suddenly they looked like a team.
Or...
CR7 being dropped tonight and Portugal looking like a brilliant team for the first time during his career. Love that he came on as sub and still didn't score. Missed the game, so assume he was desperate to score.
He was obviously a brilliant player for most of his time at Real. Juve basically bankrupted themselves and got much worse with him playing for them, even though he was supposed to win them the Champions League.
City tricked United into signing him and he has cost them a fortune and been pretty hopeless. Now has left in disgrace with his reputation ruined. Please sign for PSG Ronaldo!

Need to end our barren run in the league at yours but have zero confidence of it happening.
Been plenty of connections between the clubs over the years and both clubs are amongst the very fabric of English football.
Win or lose I'll be here.
All the best
