BaaLocks
OK - this might not be the place where much time is given to discussing fashion (save @David banging on about his new Apple gizmo) but Vivienne was, after all, a Derbyshire lass so she's worth it. And she so brought the ethos of punk to the clothing - it's hard to think that punk would have been anything of the shock it was without the clothing that went with it. Steve Jones on the BIll Grundy show with his 'boobs' t-shirt, Johnny Rotten singing Anarchy in his Mummy vest, the kissing Cowboys, all of it was driven by the art school brigades out of St Martins In The Field and led, so led, by Vivienne Westwood. An absolute icon of the time, the late 1970s would not have been the same without her. RIP Viv. Crewton
Born and raised not far from Hadfield, she'd have made a very convincing League of Gentlemen character - a true eccentric, but an original one.
