That’s *never* been the team for tonight. Social media mix-up.

Owen87ITK reacted to Reggie Greenwood in Derby County Administration (with the slight possibility of Liquidation still there)
Or maybe DCFC were informed that the application would be rejected by the EFL. Answers depends on what question is asked and sometimes a “ truthful “ answer doesn’t reveal the full story. All speculation though.

Do you know if Owen is still employed by the club David?
Hope he's ok if not. His work was one of the few things ive enjoyed about Derby in recent months

I think I love Rooney
It's now only coming out what he's had to deal with over the last 10 months
Also he admitted when asked, but with dignity, that he HAS been paying for some things himself
Respect

Owen87ITK reacted to Day in DCFC Adverts
The news broke as I was sat in the pub with my fiancé, going over wedding plans believe it or not.
Felt like a punch to the gut on so many levels. I've almost become immune now to tabloid stories on possible point deductions, however wasn't prepared for administration.
I changed the ads on my phone, understanding that administrators would have us down with the milkman at the bottom of the priority list, that's just how it is.
There is a contract in place for the adverts with a notice period which has not been triggered by either side, however I presume the process would allow for immediate termination and have no doubts this will happen.
I have had a great relationship with a number of people at the club, people that will now be in fear of their jobs.
I'm not going to pressurise them for any kind of clarity as I'm sure they will be just as much in the dark as we have been.
Said it on many occasions, no adverts = no forum, it's been great to show you all relevant ads for RamsTV, megastore, tickets etc.
Maybe it's something that once the administration process is over can resume, I just don't know right now.

It absolutely wasn’t/isn’t my place. But I thought it was important that *someone* said it.
I just feel very sad.

RamsTV has been one of the brightest sparks that our club has had, particularly over the last 18 months or so. And, @Owen87ITK, you have been one of the brightest sparks within it and of it.
It would be extremely peculiar if you weren't worried about your own immediate future given the events of the last 36 hours, never mind the futures of people that you work with every day of the week, many of whom, no doubt, you see as a friend as well as a work colleague. There's little, I guess, that we can do other than to say that we are all rooting for you and hope that out of it all will come an even stronger and more vibrant RamsTV with yourself to the fore. Yesterday we were supporting the whole club not just the players
I've been through something similar once in my career. My experience was that it's hard not to be up and down - thinking positive and then for something to trigger negative thoughts about the future. It can be very draining. My only advice would be to keep as positive as you can for as much of the time as you can. Tuck the darker thoughts into a box and close the lid. Easier said than done I know but try to deal with what you can control and be a consistently positive force for the future. Darker days are necessary to enjoy the good times even more!!

Might listen later if only to learn if Dawes is actually a decent journalist/presenter. Perhaps we could have all sent him our questions?

@Owen87ITK, as you said yesterday it probably wasn't your place, and certainly not your responsibility, but thanks for saying "sorry". Unfortunately for us fans you and Wayne Rooney are the only official faces of Derby County Football Club that we get to see and hear from. It must have been a difficult beginning to the programme having to be the first to face up.

Very good from Rooney. The fans deserve some honesty and he and @Owen87ITK seem are doing their best. I stick up for the others on some things, but their cavalier disregard for the fans, whatever the circumstances, has been very poor indeed.

Derby’s most expensive keeper since the late ‘90s, I believe. Not sure what that tells us exactly, but it’s something.

As someone who was scathing about Rooney for most of last season, I'd have to confess to being impressed with him so far this season.
My two biggest gripes between January & May were the style of play (or reactionary style) & the fact young players were seemingly ignored/misused/going backwards in their development. On the playing side, Rooney has set his stall out as wanting to play patient, attractive football - I am fully onboard with this & fully accept that implementing a successful version of this will take time. People comparing with Bowyer or Warnock aren't really comparing apples with apples - its easy to make a side into a horrible, long ball, physically dominant side - which is why teams in relegation trouble will look to likes of McCarthy, Pulis & Allardyce knowing their impact can often be immediate.
I watched the Birmingham game on Sat (at a gig Fri night) & thought that first 30 mins was actually really good. No, we didn't create enough chances (as much down to reluctance to shoot) & yes, Birmingham shut down our outlets second half but they were helped by individual errors (a recurring theme with us at the minute) & a compliant referee who allowed Ryan Woods & Sunjic to basically foul with impunity. That said, we have to be stronger & braver on the ball - someone Rooney has himself said.
From a youth development point of view, I've really enjoyed Max Bird's improvement in form & pleased also that Sibley is getting a regular run out. Would accept that wide right is not Louie's best position but you can't always choose where you play - Rooney will know this only too well when at Man Utd he was often moved around the front positions to accommodate Nani/Ronaldo etc. Elsewhere, its clear that likes of Ebosele, Dylan Williams & Stretton are starting to become part of the first team picture & doing well. Was also really impressed by the Salford & Sheffield Utd cup displays. I just wish we could have the room to see Cashin & Liam Thompson also as think both would contribute too.
I agree with Rooney we should have more points on the table but this is going to be a slow burner of a season with harsh lessons learnt at points. My hunch is that we will develop as a team with our consistent style & with Bielik back plus the young lads getting better, we will finish the second half of the season strongly - much like 19/20.
Finally on Rooney himself - think he has conducted himself with dignity in interviews, has been key to us bringing in what quality we could bring in & has been very patient given the off-field nonsense. Reality is he's staying anyway but from what I've seen in the past 2 months, I'm comfortable with that until this EFL/takeover saga gets sorted.

Last season Rooney got slammed for playing negative football.
This season he's getting panned for trying to play good football.
He's lost his best over all player and his best striker and is in an impossible situation unlike any other Derby manager since Arthur Cox.
But at least Arthur could wheel and deal.
Arthur couldn't even get us out of the old Division 3 on the first attempt.
This team is trying to play football and for 20 or 25 minutes on Friday we were playing some tidy football.
BUT, it's hard playing like that and it must be hard on Rooney fielding players he knows aren't good enough, but has no other option.
He deserves to see the season out and if we go down we go down, but it won't be on him imho.
