Yep, I think the Club are confident there will be some easing, based on our financial performance this season.

If we don't get any joy, even I will be joining in with the funky the EFL chants next year.

I let my 10 year old sing ‘Fudge’ the EFL 😁

  2. Yeah as been mentioned the lack of strengthening in January (in fact with osula going In my opinion we were effectively weakened despite White coming in) has caught up with us.

that cash in the bank from not reinforcing didn’t do us much good

shame. Let’s hope that SW or Barnsley go up so one of them is gone for next season.

enjoy the rest of the weekend and safe journey back from the match everyone

  3. Further to Angieram and a few other posts .. it’s very telling that the run/rot has continued for so long.

man management is crucial .. but so is having a clearly defined strategy… leading onto tactics - this is how we’re going to achieve the goal that the strategy is based on ..

Stevie Mac didn’t have a plan b either but he did have one hell of a plan A which was soooo good to watch

    today wasn’t about the ref…

we were so so bad - Bristol murdered us at will today - we made them look like play off contenders

  4. Took my lad today, we’re up from Norwich for a few days over Easter. Enjoyed the session and to be fair to the players most of them stayed much later than expected signing everyone’s autographs and posing for pics.

my lad is chuffed - he got everyone’s signature bar one and when PW found out we lived near Norwich he had a right chat with us. Fair play.

had a quick chat with Stephen Pearce this am too as we arrived and he came across well.

  5. I think Warne has been a touch naive.

Not long after his appointment he publicly acknowledged the age disparity of the team - few/no players mid 20s.
Then he introduces gas out football - his term.
We go on a great run and there is little or no squad rotation. Can’t remember the team but in one game he made quite a few subs after we were comfortably ahead and it went a bit Pete tong performance wise (Cheltenham?).

Now we some players struggling - NML stands out.
We have springett Barks NML and Dobbin plus Sibbo and knight that could cover the odd game/half though granted not their best position

it’s like he doesn’t want to throw them in whilst we need wins well current strategy isn’t working Hatman so perhaps we would get the same points playing the bench players but guess what we would have players rested and coming in for the run in a little fresher or maybe in the last 20 games we could have changed the odd player here or there at 60 mins or even the odd game.
I like that he doesn’t rush players back after injury as he doesn’t want to lose them for more games -rotation works on a similar principle

  6. I haven’t read the whole thread which is a bit I like me so I’m a bit confused about the chat surround Knight and Didz not being in the squad.

if something is amiss perhaps that explains why Warne was highlighting the tiger the as of the squad so much.

ie we’re good enough without you two and all pulling in the right direction or everything is resolved and we move cleared the air

  7. I have been critical of CH. I also feel compelled to say fair play -  his recent performances have been so much better and he’s been so much more effective. It shows what a balanced midfield can do for you. knight Bird and Hourihane would be a decent midfield in the Championship.

Our kryptonite previously was those teams a la Rotherham that played hoofball which leads me to think that if as the song says we “come straight back up” then we are well equipped now to beat theses teams as we battle for everything now. exciting times

  8. I never picked up on any hostility as such but I can hold my hands up and say that I wasn’t enjoying the football early on and was sceptical about both his style of football and his cheeky- chappy-down-to-earth-quirky-I’m a bit different type of personality.

sooo happy both have developed and are evolving. In my opinion PW now comes across very professionally and focussed on his interviews and we are playing more football as each game goes by.

add to that his development of Sibley into a very decent and disciplined left back, the fact that he has increased fitness levels and all with the players he inherited as someone said earlier.

In the words of Davy Jones… I’m a believer.
