That is lovely - two good young subs on
love that

Barks!!! Should have scored - shame he didn’t get one

Very disappointing to see a Collins replace wash and even worse to do so 4-0 up with brown on the bench
great fist half mind but context of opposition etc still good finishing though

Paul Warnes interviews are so cringe. WTAF - so embarrassing that he takes zero accountability. He’s gone from Cheesey self indulgent and unfunny to petulant, clueless and a total mardarse.
my team don’t fight like dogs .. no paul .. had you ever seen Connor Hourihane or max bird play before?
we have a soft underbelly .. nope I think you do you little princess who has to keep jibing the fans in interviews who are sick to death of watching pure sh@te .. but you want us to keep clapping?
what a shame you didn’t decide to grow when you came here. I guess that’s what DC had hoped for.
you and Richie can blame the fans and players all you want. You must hate it. You don’t know what to do about it and you are banging yours, the players and our heads against a brick wall.
Supported this team since the days of Peter Taylor and have never been so against a manager.. even Phil Brown!
This club, our club is not for you I’m afraid. There will be clubs for you. You can’t fluke three promotions. Our club though isn’t for you. You are not for our club.
if someone else comes in now they have time to work with the squad and assess if they would like to amend it in January.
we don’t need someone with three promotions (though I totally get the logic) we just need someone to allow these players to play. We have all seen that when they rebel and play football these guys can score goals.
I’ve never managed a team whose fans are against the players … we’re not against them you …. It’s you we’ are against. clapping the fans from near the dug out .. you are so petty and cheap. You begrudge the fans… and your football is crap.
so as I said our club is not for you. You are not for our club.

Completely agree. This is not consistent with the total Support we all gave the team and club during administration.
I’m Warne out and have been for most of this season. But I’d give David Clowes a big hug and say Thank you if i met him.
please let’s be totally thankful still. What he did for us was historic.

Sorry , I just don’t get it , and as for the management team being arrogant and stubborn it’s almost as if some think they are reading this forum and totally ignoring the advice / direction that the amateur managers are giving them which is clearly right ,
he was asked about outside noise and he said how they deal with it in terms of doing they’re job 🤷🏻♂️
My posts - and I believe the posts of others - are not suggesting that his comments on this solitary answer are arrogant and stubborn.. more that his answer has been interpreted by us alongside other behaviours to show arrogance and stubbornness.
the other behaviours for example are coming out regularly after the game and saying that there wasn’t much wrong with the performance/thought the lads played well.. after an absolutely sh*t performance where many posters observed that there was little structure to our play or fight or football. And overall it was crap. Like crapper than crap. Proper CRAP in Fact. If you like this football then I hope you are enjoying the season and no wonder you are sticking up for them and interpreting things differently to me and some others.
Selecting too many defensive players consistently when we mainly agree that we couldn’t break the opposition down.
selecting players perhaps more out of reputation maybe - ie Connor H earlier in the season/NML when he was knackered
if you can’t see that his answer to this question could have been an opportunity to build a bridge with the fans then I guess we have nothing further to discuss other than to agree that we are both grateful to have a club and up the rams!

I appreciate that Caerphilly Ram and likewise.
Let’s hope tomorrow they build on the performance from midweek and if we score players don’t celebrate by taking the mick but actually with the fans.
I mean the linesman presumably ruled out NMLs second goal in retaliation for a poor celebration of the first .. mr can’t shoot on target for toffee finally scored one (good goal mind)

If you go looking for it there is plenty of evidence of Warne and Barker praising the Derby fans, I appreciate sometimes that can be missed so for balance here is a quote from Barker in April of this year following the away victory at Exeter;
On the travelling fans...
Most of those that came here tonight were probably at Bristol Rovers on Saturday as well. They were important for us kicking towards them in the second half. They gave the lads energy and encouraged them to keep pressing. They've been excellent away from home all season and to think about that many coming here on a Tuesday night is amazing.
Taken from the club website https://www.dcfc.co.uk/news/2023/04/post-match-verdict-richie-barker-vs-exeter-city-a-april-2023
Or this quote from Barker following the away win at MK Dons last season;
On the Derby support...
That was some effort but when you add to the fact we went to Liverpool on Wednesday night and then Torquay United last week and even last Tuesday at Morecambe; it's absolutely amazing.
For that many people to make that effort and for the goals to go in at that end in the second half is a massive reward for them. The fans have been great with us since we came and hopefully they can see improvements and what we're trying to do and stick with us through the good times and the bad times.

You are of course entitled to feel how you do. I’m confident that there has been plenty of praise for the Rams support from Warne and his colleagues over the last year and am sure that will continue beyond this one comment from Barker on Tuesday night that appears to have upset some.
I remember both of these quotes funnily enough.
my point was not that no praise has ever been given.
If no praise had ever been given Caerphilly Ram we would all be having a very different conversation.and if you can’t praise 6k at MK dons and similar away at Liverpool then you’re doing something wrong.
I’m sure if you look you’ll find times when they’ve put out a one liner. Which for me personally either having been or watching on Rams TV and hearing the fans outsing the opposition fans week in week out wasn’t enough. That’s my point the praise too often wasn’t commensurate with the fans support.
perhaps they could have come out with it themselves at the start of the interview and not had to be prompted about the support the odd time.
im making an assumption Rotherham don’t take the same following away as we do and I know they don’t have the same size attendances at home. But more than that these people were until recently so vocal it was heartwarming. It meant something to us and me. I have been so proud of how the fans reacted this past three years or so. So it’s not hard to imagine that it’s the best in terms of volume of noise and people that warne and Co have experienced. I wondered if they were intimidated or were trying to be cool and exert confidence.
it’s not unrealistic to imagine that many others managers would have come in and embraced it a little more. They may have even have done the bounce once or twice .. oh that’s right we didn’t get promoted .. or even in the play offs.
now the fans support has dipped they’re happy to acknowledge it.

Not sure if the post is in response to mine but I’m expressing a gripe I that I have held for sometime. This gripe was not a gripe until I noticed what I perceived to be a pattern in minimalistic acknowledgement, on behalf of the management team, of the support offered by Derby county fans at matches which at the time was absolutely tremendous and unwavering.
i had no gripe with the manager and his team at the time.
indeed I have had a personal conversation with him one to one and found him to be warm and sincere. But when the fans are amazing it’s ok to say so - Klopp does, plenty of other managers have no shame in praising the role played by a vociferous fan base.
if the fans hadn’t been so brilliant home and away I wouldn’t have the issue.
I decided to post my thoughts and feelings on this because this thread is kind of in topic for what I’d thought.thanks for being there.

For me it’s got my goat a little.
I can still concentrate when driving, eating and can enjoy a good cup of tea.
However that said the question was asked to reference the recent vocal dissatisfaction that was exuberantly expressed by a section of fans.
ritchie could have reached out to the fans but didn’t.
he could have easily acknowledged the frustration and re emphasised the importance role the fans have played and then importance of sticking together ..fans and players and management .. but he didn’t. He absolutely didn’t.
I believe they are arrogant as a management team (stubbornness in team selection and formation) and I believe they simply don’t like it up em.call me precious but whenever they’ve been asked about the fans since they came to the club Richie and warne have never been effusive and always been a little too professional in their acknowledgment.
we’ve been and we remain an important part of the club and whilst you may see this as me over exaggerating I’m just venting something that has vexed me for the past 12 months … other than the s**** football, flat caps and over sized cardigans during the winter months.
love an indulgent post from time to time.
I thank you.

It is a first world problem agreed … but NML celebrating like that after his first goal of the season in game 13 .. behave son

TFFT
enjoyed it fair and fair play to CH
so many more shots and this was the result, in my opinion, of selecting a balanced but attacking side and playing football
We have plenty of options to rotate or use the subs at 60 mins to keep players fresh
fornah smith and CH can all play plenty of games and on a showing like that Max B can play in them all
Wash can’t take JCs place and Then John Jules can take his place
keep the faith with sibs, as someone said he made good runs and created space for others plus a great ball to barks for good goal astonishingly ruled out

This is far more like it. We look like a team and dare I say it after only one half … it feels different …
-
If the budget is tight then when we sell Cashin in Jan some of that can go towards Warne.
also we can look at not adding reinforcements - I’d rather that than stay as we are -
Don’t know if Exeter still need a manager but surely he’d do well there

We did three passes

Did Collins mean that?
happy for Bird to shoot more he’s tried to make something happen -
