If we could get 6 wins out of 16, then we could lose 7, and still get the same number of points.
This team CAN win 6 out of 16 games, no question. If we can pick up a couple of draws as well we should be there or thereabouts. I must admit, I'm not ready for missing out on survival by 1 point as per the current prediction!

You would think any potential owner would want this all done and dusted to secure the long term futures of these young players.
They must have said on Sky two or three times during the game that Ashley has said he wants to buy the club NOW.

I don't know if it's just that I'm getting older or if football has changed so much over the past few years, but there's such a huge gap between where we are and the top of the PL that I'm really not that fussed about getting promoted to the so called 'promised land'. As long as I can support my local team, see plenty of effort, a bit of skill and a few goals (preferably winning more games than we lose) then that will do for me - I'm not sure I even actually care that much about which league we're in....
This is how I felt watching Kidderminster Harriers (a National League North team) yesterday. Really enjoyed it and it looked like a ground I'd enjoy going to.

I just feel Morris is being involved too much .probably me reading too much into things but Morris is so untrustworthy.
The EFL and Boro dragged Mel into it again by calling him out in both of their statements. They got their wish.

Anyone else feel really low, Derby was the only thing for a lot of us to pull us out of the covid depression I'm genuinely unsure of what to do with myself every weekend from February until forever
Derby County will continue in some form or another and in some league or another. That's the only thing I'm clinging to.

Bigger than the value of the club. 40 million then despite protestation
All depends whether Boro and Wycombe are actually after money or are after the liquidation of Derby. It's clear that the most we can offer is a very small settlement to each so that they go away. If Derby liquidate they will get nothing and will be the most hated teams in the land - you choose.....

Squeaky bum time for the EFL now and I think we’ll all have Sports Direct mugs in the post with our season ticket renewal info by the end of the month.
I bloody hope so!

A statement from the English Football League confirming they need proof of funds from #dcfc
"The EFL has written to the Administrators reiterating that it needs confirmation as a matter of urgency of how they intend to trade whilst Derby County remains in administration, including a funding plan that will enable the Club to fulfil its fixture obligations until the end of the current season.
Without this visibility the League is unable to approve any player signings or renew existing registrations and this position had been communicated to the club prior to yesterday’s meeting.”

Yeah, OB has replied to several tweets backing the job that the administrators are doing and that he trusts them. We'll just have to wait for the next official update as frustrating as it may be rather than reports that Rooney has turned all Tyson Fury on them.

It wouldn't surprise me if a bidder is waiting for our chance of survival to drop enough so that a further 15 point penalty wouldn't bother the fans (for not paying 25% of unsecured creditors). Unfortunately, that's one of the easiest ways to reduce the purchase price by just over £5m.
As I understand it that would only apply next season, not this.

Am I the only one who thinks this is actually logical from the EFL and was probably a planned meeting for a while. If we said that we had enough funds to get us through to the end of January, it's only right that if we haven't got the preferred bidder deposit yet that the EFL ask where the money is coming from to recruit if we haven't sold any players either?

Was genuinely excited when I read we should know by tonight or tomorrow.
Then read it's with the EFL and they are making a decision.

Well WR must have a plan for another attacking player to come in. I know Baldock's not pulled up any trees while he's been here, but we're not exactly over-furnished in the attacker department as it is!
Did you not see Curtis vs Reading?

Wayne Rooney still understands the preferred bidder is imminent. WR: “We should know by tomorrow.” Saying it with “some confidence”. The EFL making decisions today. We should know by tonight or tomorrow. #DCFC

So are we saying that Appleby was offering £30m and Ashley is potentially blowing him out the water with £50m? If so, no contest for the admin.

For me this is good news, there's no chance the claims will get anywhere in court and I'd rather this than pay a settlement. Hope they both get f all and actually end up owing us money in legal fees.

The Exeter manager was quoted as saying that one of the reasons his players were not having the Covid jabs was possible fertility issues.
I'll leave that one there.
That's the only reason I'm on my third jab, duck me if I'm having anymore kids ?

Absolutely the opposite - everyone hoping we stay up and that we're their second team now, exactly how it should be ?
