Sums up what most people think about us at the moment - we're an absolute shitshow off the field, therefore this must equate to another 11 Points season on the field. I don't see it that way however, the group is fairly close knit and the starting 11 with Knight and Bielik to come back is a mid table team - it just depends how any injuries and covid affects us through the course of the season. Happy to fly under the radar for now anyway if other teams think they just have to turn up to beat us - they could be in for a rude awakening hopefully.

So the accounts have to be submitted by 18th August and season tickets go on sale on 18th August. Coincidence? ?

To be honest so would I - I would have liked Jagielka as well
Absolutely would have rather had Jagielka over Stearman, but at least with Cashin and Forsyth now as well we have cover in that position.
-
The most important player we could have signed is Curtis Davies. If that's done, any others are just a bonus. Would rather play Sibley and Watson than Morrison and Carroll.
-
Must be confident of the signings if they're specifically showing photos of the trialists on the latest training photos.

How many pens did Rooney take for us in the end? Never once felt like he wouldn't score.

I'll be interested to know how the timelines for kit announcements compared with the last season. I could be wrong, but over the last few years have we not always announced the away / third kit a week or so before we plan to actually wear it in a competitive game? First away game isn't until 14th August.

I assume non of the trialists are currently being paid at all. If the current cap is 4.5k per week, offer them a rolling one week contract on this figure till it is sorted. They of course can walk away if get a better offer, but we could play them if they sign on that basis. They have nothing to lose, we have nothing to lose and they still get net pay of 12k at the end of the month instead of Zero.
This. Give them a one month contract on £4.5k and uplift once we've sorted our poo out.

Good job EFL will be docking us points to keep the league competitive.

What an utterly bizarre way of issuing tickets! why another 7-14 days?
Surely this had to be linked to the Takeover / purchase of the stadium and not covid
this club gets weirder by the day
Definitely takeover related imo, so bodes well.

Looks like Jagielka, Aluko, Morrison and Wisdom are all in the background of the couple of training pics. Add Davies to that and I think it will be the 5...if indeed we're allowed 5.
Tom Carroll now also training with us from the latest pics.

The signings of Bielik and Jozwiak are exactly the right sort we should be looking at in the future. They are exactly the right profile, young, good potential, right attitude to improve, high resale value, internationals. This is what we should have been doing 6 years ago.
Jóźwiak could be a different player this season with fans behind him and a year of getting to know the league (assuming he isn't sold...)

The fa cup is nothing to do with the EFL it is an FA competition, and as such they could have thrown us out of that competition and fined us, but they cannot give a points deduction, my view is that we appeal against the embargo on the grounds that we were fulfilling a requirement by the FA and it is nothing to do with the EFL what juniors we fielded.
Nick de Marco would love this case if we could raise it.
Only problem with that is that by the time that the case is resolved, the transfer window will be over anyway. The only way to sign players this summer is to submit the accounts and get the debt paid.

Can't find the original tweet again, but someone has already spotted it for sale in a sports shop in Spain. Looks a bit better in the flesh.
