Didn't he pull up with a muscle injury against Matlock last week.....
Nothing sinister
Same with the rest, Warne and his crew seem to be very careful on returning them from injuries and niggles, I suppose his desire for high intensity means there's no point in pushing them if not 100%.
Interesting to see how injury free McGoldrick was after Warne came in, for someone that was relatively injury prone for a few years and at end of his career......
I wasn't suggesting anything sinister Rich. Still would have a tenner on him being at somewhere like Bolton or Blackpool come September.

Richie Barkers new interview,
- Joe Ward stayed at Moor Farm for a personal issue, then felt a tweak in his groin so has trained with u21s won’t be going to Spain.
- Barkhuizen hasn’t started running yet so won’t be joining the squad in Spain either, they hope he can train again next week.
- Washington has been out doing some ball work, so he’s getting closer.
- Sibley and Elder have missed a few sessions with knocks so they’re not at full fitness just yet.
- NML is linking up with the squad today.
Barkhuizen ‘hasn’t started running yet’, sounds very much like ‘he has downed tools’. Must have torn a muscle doing all that holiday sightseeing I guess.
He will be signing up with one of our northern L1 rivals rather soon I would wager.

I totally echo @angieram comments - there are a number of posters on here who would be brilliant as elected members to the Shadow Board. Leave aside any personal distaste for other groups on the Shadow Board, this is your opportunity to help with the future stewardship of this great football club - something that would have been unthinkable 15 months ago.
I urge anyone remoted interested in the future strategic direction of the club to send constructive feedback to DCFC before the deadline 👍🐏
Great overall post, which I nearly missed as you didn’t tag @i-Ram on it. I agree that I would undoubtedly be brilliant as an elected member, and have today bought 2 new 3-seater sofas so the rest of the board can sit comfortably next to me.

Serious question are any of the board members of Gadsbys takeover on this forum if so would they be interested in buying Southend if I had the money i would. It breaks my heart seeing the desperate fans praying this morning on social media that their club survives
Come on now dear, chin up 🤣
Lets be honest Southend doesn’t need a football club, or probably deserve one. It’s got a pier and loads of amusement parks, and a bit of sand. If I ever went there, I would plump for two hours of that that rather than visit Roots Hall, as just the better of two evils.
Southend have hardly got any fans either. They all support West Ham, and the ones that don’t follow them are orange and just want to to get on reality TV. Don’t lose any sleep. If the worst come to the worst they can always watch Gemma Collins or Jamie Oliver on their 75” tv screens.

Wish we'd use this kind of deal more often. We'd never have to pay a transfer fees again.
I heard we tried to do a deal whereby we paid Rotherham £50k every time Washington scored a goal for us, but the Millers were wise to that one.

After watching that 6 min clip I’ve decided our goalscoring solutions are already in the squad.
Collins movement and finishing look great, I mean that might change when he’s got opposition defenders to beat but that doesn’t matter for now… 🤫
And yep, Brown looks like an absolute legend in the making, pretty sure he’s the new Dean Sturridge or Dean Saunders.
How much alcohol can you consume in 6 minutes?

Right, so that was an element of the psychological bit with a bit of a physical bit, right. So the next bit is a bit of a physical bit with a little bit of tactical in it, right.
Right?

You can look at this in two ways , one he’s extremely loyal or he’s taken a safe option and has no ambition
…. or perhaps
3) that no offers were made, or if they were that they were of insufficient merit compared to what his current team were prepared to offer.
4) he hates Derby as much as Billy Sharp.

There is some saying about lies and statistics blah blah but that's ridiculous- because opinion is yesterday's fish n chip paper whilst statistics are facts and irrefutable.
Did you know Paul Goddard played once for England and scored?
He was a 1 in 1 striker at the highest level and had the lowest goal per minute record of any England player.
Washington is 1 in 3 at League 1. Pathetic.
Are you agreeing or disagreeing with me? I am genuinely confused 😂

So based on the feedback on how he plays I’m hoping that CW is going to have a similar role as Paul Goddard did.
I don’t remember a big fan fare when he arrived but what a player for us he was and how superb he was for Dean Saunders .. question is if Conor can have a similar impact, allbeit at a lesser level, who will be our Deano?Comparing Paul Goddard with Conor Washington is like comparing a Ferrari with a Skoda.

I love we are signing players who can talk well. Kane, take your lisp, and f*** off to Germany I say.

I think people may be writing the season off a little early. Warne himself has said that top two is the aim. And if Warne is unable to recruit good players to the club why on earth was he brought in to replace Rosenior (who at the very least did prove he could do that)?
I think a lot of people will have looked at Warnes tactics from last season and decided that recruitment and motivation must be his strengths. If recruitment proves to be a dud what are we left with?
Motivation.

I'm going to back Collins to have a good season for us.
I just have this feeling he will break the 20 goals for the season tally. Call it blind faith, stupidity.
I actually think Collins, hourihanne and Barkhuizen will be much better than last season.
Stupidity.

35 year old Mcgoldrick who's played in the Premier League moving to his boyhood club to finish his career is hardly the same as Alfie May who has never played for a club above league one.
Hardly the same is it
No, hardly the same, but the above has nothing to do with the point you were originally making.
You literally said if we wanted Alfie May he would have come. You really have no idea that is true. Like David McGoldrick, it seems Alfie, has personal and family reasons to want to move to a club other than the mighty Derby County.
