Elgin_Ram reacted to Steve Buckley’s Dog in Charlton Athletic and Ipswich Town to sue Derby County
Charlton Athletic are set to sue Derby County for £25 million after the ball burst in the 1946 FA Cup Final. If it hadn’t burst then we might have won or got some good players or something, said a Charlton spokesman. Meanwhile Ipswich Town also announced they were going to sue Derby County due to some reason or other. We might have won more games if they hadn’t beaten us in them, cited an Ipswich spokesman. It simply wasn’t fair that they had better players and scored more goals. We want £40 million and Martyn Waghorn back.
Meanwhile American fast food chain McDonalds announced that they were going to sue Derby County for fielding a player with their brand name. Flagrant breach of copyright, claimed a spokesman for the evil corporation.
In other news the EFL announced a further 9 points deduction for Derby County after the midlands side finished their 0-0 draw against Swansea with 5 full backs on the pitch. Everyone knows you should have two full backs, said a source close to Rick Parry. Derby ended the game with 5 players who full back could be considered their tecognised position. That is clearly too many. We checked the rules but couldn’t find anything specific about this so we all agreed that 3 points per extra full back sounded about right.

Meanwhile Wycombe have announced they aren’t going to sue Derby County for getting them relegated by buying Nick Blackman when they were two leagues below after they realised it was totally ridiculous and so far fetched as to be laughable.

I stopped going to away matches because of our idiots who liked to throw beer around on the concourse, then got in my face threatening violence in my direction when I remonstrated.
I stopped going to PPS because of the pandemic and the lockdown, and won't return for some time yet, I'm afraid. Approaching 70 and being on the 'extremely vulnerable' list, to return now would just be foolish.

Cheers, Mucker. I live in Berlin, and the weather there isn’t much better this time of the year!
Anyway, rain and under the lights, what more could I ask for! (Maybe a dramatic win).

Because it makes you proud and it's nice to be nice and it's great when outsiders choose to be positive about our club.
There are a lot of wonderful people out there that don't believe all the gutter press and all the negative and nasty stuff written and spoken about our club.

Yay, I’m going to this!! After a brain haemorrhage and then lockdown I thought I’d never get to PP again. However, I’ve recovered really well over the summer, especially worked hard to improve physically and my partner is letting my son take me to the match - he’s much more worried than I am!
So, Rams, I’d appreciate a good performance and a win - though whatever happens I’ll feel like a winner just getting there.

Have to say i'm pretty upset about this, For the last 2 days I can confirm that I haven't and i'll say it again I haven't been in touch with DCFC/Administraters about an offer to buy the club, They have not sent me an NDA to sign and also the Daily Mirror didn't contact or run a story to say I was concidering buying the club.
The only correspondance that I have recieved is from the BBC and that is down to non payment of my TV lisence.

I haven't watched any other football, bar the Euros in patches, last season or this season.  I feel so far removed from the Anfields and Old Traffords nowadays they may as well not exist. I think a lot of it is the buying up and renting back of young players by premier league clubs   Different league so you don't know how they'd perform, but we had to let go two players for around 2.6 million, who will get loaned out for double that over the next 12 months, to Liverpool and Man city. Those two players in our squad this year could have got upwards of 15 million if they played to potential.  Whole thing makes me barf to be honest.

Not too far away from a testimonial.
Always liked Fozzy and as some have said, his experience is invaluable for us this season. He is now our Mr Derby County. He's seen a hell of a lot of change at the club in the time he's been here, suffered with some terrible injuries but has always been fit/focussed enough to bounce back.
Definitely needs his own song, this season more than any other.

    Hi All, genuine question.
The club is short staffed currently and still cannot open the ticket office for example. Who would volunteer to work to get things open so that for example people could buy tickets from the ticket office ? I have offered to work for free on match day mornings for example, and to get the Ticket office open earlier than 10AM.
Any one else willing ? There must be retired people who could staff in the week?

Wayne ducking Rooney and all the players, take a bow lads. It's times like this when boys become men and men stand up and are counted. Against all odds, we're showing huge pride in the shirt and a steely will to win and doing it with a certain amount of style and panache too.
So ducking proud of them all tonight, each and every one.

Awful awful officials. They have to get those decisions right. But we stood strong despite that and should have scored more anyway. But we are so solid. We have the second best defence in the division, having conceded one more than Bournemouth.
Brilliant from Allsop coming in who did everything asked of him.
Brilliant from Stearman ditto, especially having been booked really early on.
We are already on plus points despite a 12 point deduction. That was so important. We'd be 11th without the deduction.
    Come on you Rams!

He didn’t encourage it , it started before they were even in the ground. He had every right to react as he did. If people gave him such foul mouthed abuse in their workplace they would lose their jobs, why should a football ground be any different. He said as a footballer, he expects to get stick, but there is a line and it was definitely crossed.

He was yelled at all match, and scores a late winner.  Then says he doesn't like us...seems pretty temperate to me?
As for coming back to bite him,  he is very much in the twilight of his career and we are certainties to be in the division below for at least another season. Think he will be thinking he's already had the last laugh...except what was sung wasn't funny. Depressing when we are already public enemy no 1 we seem keen to reinforce that image.
In the horrible Premier League season we got a great reputation for just supporting the team regardless,  wish we could go that way rather than spiteful.  I take my kids to away games and the actions of the minority are really putting me off.

From all Derby fans that we are sorry what was sung to you yesterday unfortunately some people drank to much and lost all scences but does not excuse it what so ever. And if that has upset your family it is same here or sheffield untied support please do not judge all Derby fans with same brush.

I agree. It's been getting steadily worse for a couple of seasons. For me, it seemed to start in the Lampard season.
I have gone from looking forward to awaydays to dreading some of them.
We used to be able to separate ourselves out from the trouble to some extent, by swapping a decent view for safety down at the front. Doesn't seem to work any more and asking someone on row two to sit down or at least calm down the obscene gesticulating to opposition supporters and you get met with foul mouthed abuse and a flat refusal.
When I do mention it on here, there is always a small minority making noises about women or old folks - and presumably kids - having no right to go to away games.
Yet when we get to the midweek away games in the middle of nowhere it's us who are still there, getting behind the team.
My other main gripe is the unseemly chants that some think up. I can't believe other fans get sucked into singing them. Get behind the lads by praising us, not slagging off the opposition. It's cheap and it's nasty and it is not the face of the club I want to see.
I didn't go yesterday after I got a shed load of abuse from our own fans last time we went there (piled into the back of the stand despite being nowhere near the seats they had paid for.) I was scared for my safety. It sounds like I made a wise decision.

One dcfcfans poster admitted last night to singing it, without knowing why, or the history behind it.  They claimed they later went on to Google the reasoning behind it, found literally no reference at all on line, and then came on here (new thread) to ask what it was all about.  They even still continued to hint at such accusations within the post (calling him one word in particular), despite them confirming "There was nothing on line"!  ?
I did respond (hinting at my disgust in them), and then returned to edit my post, to hint that I suspect the thread will be removed (Due to the accusations being repeated therein).  The thread was removed as I was editing!
I won't name the poster.  They know who they are, if they read this.
He/She should be at least embarrassed, if not ashamed.  I can fully understand why the thread was removed, (and agree it should have been) but I hope this post has been worded in such a way as to not be removed.
I think we all need to be aware that some of our fellow "fans" set a poor tone, extremely so at times, and run the risk of us all being tarred with the same brush, as Billy Sharp seemed to do yesterday.
I've been young.  I've been foolish.  I've been gobby.  But this mentality is totally outside of my comprehension.  ?‍♂️
Totally agree with @angieram about the need for us all to start reporting such so-called fans.  I don't like that opinion, but it needs to be done.
So sad to hear so many joined in, particularly without any clue as to why such vile accusations were being cast.
They get a massive BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO from me!
