He needs to start playing like he is too good for the league then.   Wouldn't say he has done that too many times this season so far.

Could be a useful alternative option. He must surely be as good as Collins who I think is one of the worst strikers I have ever seen at Derby since watching them mid 1970’s. Seriously he is up there with Billy Caskey, Bobby Campbell and Steve Biggins. Maybe even as bad as Martin Waghorn!

One issue I have with playing them both is we then have no one on the bench , and we can’t keep them both fresh. Strange use of subs again by Warne which backfired as we could have done with Dobbin or Collins or both when playing against 10 men. Warne got his team the wrong way round put your strikers on late in the game when the opposition is tiring.

Underwhelming a good word for today if that’s it. Needed a right back for about seven months now. Also Osula went back three weeks ago.
get the points about budget and being happy we still have a club. At some point we have to start to look forward again. But feel we have a real chance at automatic promotion, could do with more options off the bench or starting. Warne said as much last night.
and not writing him off yet but springett looks pretty underwhelming, I’m not convinced he improves us much. Plange as a striker would have helped?

I watch quite a lot of our u21 games so hopefully I can give a fair assessment of where he's at and what he might bring you.
He's a very versatile player, he mainly plays CM or DM but has filled in at LB (our u21s dont have a natural LB) a lot and played at LM. Conte even started him as a false 9 in place of Kane in our post-worldcup friendlies but before you get your hopes up he's not a natural striker! IMO like a lot of creative players his best role is possibly AM in a free role but he's not played there much recently because our u21 team has quite a lot of forwards to accommodate. He was loaned out to Pompey a couple of seasons ago and I believe the club have had loan offers for him pretty much every window since but they've been blocked by the club for various reason which has frustratingly stalled his development a bit. He's got great range of passing and not sure how many of them are on youtube but he's scored some unbelievable direct freekicks over the years in the youth teams. The youth coaches have said he's one of the smartest players they've coached and according to the Pompey manager when he was there he's very easy to coach, "You only have to tell him an instruction once. He's like a sponge and you'll tell him something once and then he'll be doing it. He's so easy to coach, a coach's dream."
 
Hopefully it all goes ahead and he does well for you and maybe he can go on loan again with you next season in the championship ?

I’d imagine Warne wants a striker and a CM or RB.
If we can’t find a right back to suit, Smith stays there and we look for a midfielder. If we can’t find a midfielder, we sign a right back and Smith moves into midfield.

Zahore contract terminated at WBA, wouldn’t be a bad shout on a short term deal. Was unplayable at times for Cardiff! 

Collins couldn’t trap a bag of cement need a much better hold up player 

If he could do that, it may go some way to solving one of his many problems.
If he could then work on his work rate, his pace, his discipline, his dribbling ability and his fitness then we might have a half decent player.
Unfortunately all of those attributes are below par for this league, even for a one-dimensional player such as him. He has scored quite an amazing amount of goals all things considered, despite himself, not because of his ability

Crazy isn’t it going init the last 2 days of the window with no one linked! Quite nice after the money we’ve spent and failed, obviously would like a striker but if we get luck with injuries we will be fine 

How about Tyler Walker from Cov, local lad, 26 years old and out of contract in the Summer. Had a poor time of it in recent seasons but did score 14 in 29 for Lincoln in league one in the 19/20 season.

Ince should never have left, him and NML in league would've been insane.

I think *maybe* a case could be made for Tomori at a push, but jeez guys and gals, Mount is a regular England international and a goal scoring midfielder.
He would cost £50m or more and to want Ebiowei or Ebosele over a truly world class player is utterly absurd.
