We won't run a big squad, we might have around 20-22 players, so we have to try and get everything right.

I understand why we get linked to loads of players and I understand why it's frustrating for fans when we don't sign players but if we signed seven or eight players today - what are you going to do for the next few weeks and talk about? You might as well enjoy the next few weeks and all that pre-season brings with it!

Embrace one another it’s all about signing affection and this lot have just landed at Pride Park……….

Last season the Rams kicked off their pre-season schedule away to League Two outfit Bradford City at Valley Parade on Saturday 9th July (3pm kick-off), before they hosted Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin at Pride Park Stadium on Saturday 16th July (4pm kick-off).

Three days later, the Rams took on League Two side Stevenage at the Lamex Stadium on Tuesday 19th July (7:30pm kick-off), before concluding their pre-season games with a home clash against Premier League outfit Leicester City at Pride Park Stadium on Saturday 23rd July (1pm kick-off).

The games were live on RamsTV.

I wonder if the same decision would have been made, if we were still involved in the play offs.

Have the EFL decided that they will be far too busy laying into the likes of Birmingham, Reading and Peterborough etc and it’s maybe time to lay off Derby County for a bit, hence we will still be monitored by the EFL against our own budget and business plan.

Will the EFL and their officials be far too busy destroying other teams on the pitch instead of Derby County? 
 

Wouldn’t it be great to watch a live game of football involving Derby County where we could actually talk to our mates after the game or on social media without having to mention the EFL and their lousy officials and just discuss the football.

Hence why the big teams will remain as the big teams and teams like Brighton will eventually be back down fighting for their Premier League survival as Leicester and Forest currently are.

Sky want to see Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal etc leading the way and the football bodies protect it, because it’s good for business.

Unfortunately it’s a Sky Sports Monopoly and so many football teams can’t even get on to the board game, never mind stay on it.

Even if the small team fans, don’t pay for it, don’t watch it, the big teams carry on regardless and the moaning paying fans of Sky Sports, BT etc either of the big teams and small teams, still remain not bothered about the traditions of the game, like 3pm kick offs, because they will always selfishly do what’s best for themselves,  because that is what suits them best.
 

So they become just like Sky Sports, BT etc, without a duty of care for the football fan, that chooses to travel over land and sea all around the world, to follow their beloved football club in real life, in the flesh, in any kind of weather, paying for match tickets, instead of sat on their lazy backsides, in the comfort of their living rooms or on occasions in their dying local pub, because they’ve become too lazy to even visit that or spend money on anything else but themselves.

giving cheap penalties away, so however effective he is going forwards it’s usually cancelled out by the lack of the hard work, required to keep it out of our goal before pressuring the opponents goal. (as he has done in other games he’s played in)

So not weird at all. You chose to interpret my post in a certain way, so I chose to interpret your post exactly in the same way, and you find my post weird.

I’ll call it a 1-1 draw between us, and that makes us top 6, so let’s make the play offs as fans together, and hope all our players play to their full potential and give us the results we all crave.

A lot of fans have criticised Collins all season, but he has chipped in with important goals, has held the the ball up, has worked hard to win the ball back and is effective in our box, when required to defend.

Hopefully if White has any more opportunities this season with Derby he can prove the fans that doubt him, that he can do all the initial hard work that enables the ball to be kept in the attacking areas and also creates and scores.
