Muckerette has done a bloody sterling job of bringing up two boys “belonging to someone else” (me!) from the same age (both now just either side of 40!) but Lord knows how difficult that is when neither are the true/biological parent, regardless of how close that wider family network is. 

I can’t stress enough how much respect I have for you both for doing this, and I wish the four of you the very best of luck and happiness as you develop as a family unit!

I'm hiding in here from 2 kids.
Very long story short, we are the great aunt and uncle of 2 young boys, Noah (3), Logan (2).
We was approached about becoming guardians for them as their parents are separated and neither in a situation to offer them a stable home.
Was no way we could see them go into care so here they are. Currently with us under a section 20 agreement although we expect it to go through to a SGO order in time where they will stay with us until they are 18.
Last few weeks been a whirlwind, through work and these I've missed the last two games, so I'm in here hiding from those pair that are giving me full calorie burning sessions. 😂

I would say that if "The overwhelming majority" wanted him gone, there would be clear unarguable evidence, such as a cacophony of full time boos, Warne Out Banners, and certainly a significant number of chants throughout the game loud enough for all 4 sides to hear.
 

The thing is, did they come out and say as much?  Or did you put the words out there, and they just politely nodded their agreement?
There are some folk out there that like to bore-rant when in company.  I'm not saying this is you, but who knows?
There are some folk out there that like to just nod/agree, to avoid a full on face-to-face bore-rant conversation... I'm not saying this is me, but it actually is!  👀

Anyone else get bombarded with messages on Saturday morning (from "Floodline") warning of "Danger to life", advising us to "Act Now" and offering links that further advise not to venture out unless absolutely necessary?
Both of us got texts, emails, and calls to mobiles (automated message).
(We're just inside the red flood area, being 1.4km due east of the river at St Mary's Bridge, as the crow flies over the cricket ground).
Nobody has been in touch since, to advise we're now ok to go out again, or indeed out of imminent danger to our very existence... or indeed (v.2) to check we are still alive! 😲
... And yet here we all are reading about thousands of people heading for a football match this evening!

Do you think I should call them, in case they are still worried about us?  👀

Just goes to show how difficult some of these "injuries" can be, despite being surrounded by experts.
 
A bit like that motorway pile up victim they failed to save, despite him still breathing when he arrived at the hospital, and him being "in the best hands"... but with less gore!  
 
If you ever get to a stage where you look upon war vets in wheelchairs as being lucky, as their injuries/missing limbs are visibly obvious for everyone to take notice of and act accordingly, whereas your own son's war injuries are invisible, PM me, and I'll try to help you through it.
