Pretty sure Darren Robinson played CB at Matlock during pre season and several other game's - now Cashin is out for abit Warnes already moaning he's down to Nelson and Sonny... If you want to break down this window in comparison I know what I’d prefer JWZ > Allsopp Yates + Jackson > Baldock Osborn + Kenzo > Ravel Ebou + Ozoh > Jagielka and Stearman and we are not done yet. Also there’s not a lack of numbers just a lack of good distribution of the numbers. Loaning out Darren Robinson to get him into men’s football while we have Ebou and Ozoh is good business in my opinion also. You can sign anyone if nobody else wants them. Say we want Al Hamidi, he's number one and we think there's a good chance we get him, but we might have to wait till next week. But if not we can have someone we don't want as much who's maybe 3rd on the list. Do you wait? Or do you go and get your third choice in and not wait? Warne has said there will be signings. A midfielder is far down the line, he's main striker target is still there but he's got to wait until his current club sign a replacement before they let him go. It's absolutely fine. People are working behind the scenes to get the players in and I am confident we will. Saying it's woeful to loan out a young player who has barely made a first team appearance and hasn't made the squad once this season, despite being able to name 9 subs is bit silly. Great argument fella. I don't even know why I'm replying to such a well thought pos,t but anyway: Warne has said players are "in the building" and close to signing (think he said this pre Boro). Yet where are they and why aren't they signing? These young, athletic players he harps on about, where are they? He's got several at the club in Robinson, Hawkins and Wheeldon who he doesn't bat a eyelid at! It’s like crying we need a centre back and moaning we’ve loaned out the 6th and 7th choice right backs. Your turn Your right a few of examples of athletic and quality players we should of signed. 6 foot 4 highly thought of premier league academy midfielder. A workhorse ball retreaving specialist who was the best in his position last year and got a team promoted. a 6 foot 6 international goalie who was playing European football all summer. A battling midfielder who’s played multiple seasons in the premier league who’d die for the badge. A ridiculously fast and direct winger who helped get a team promoted to the premier league. A striker who’s gotten back to back club golden boots in the championship for two different teams. A Dutch midfielder from a top Dutch team that was wanted by a Dutch legend like Van Persie at a steal under a million who’s only 22.
