Match Thread: Leyton Orient (h)

Recommended Posts

HT

Great score line and a fairly good performance in general, although we look a bit toothless in the final third, set pieces and crosses have been our main threat.

Orient are absolutely there for the taking.

We can really up our goal difference against this lot, if we get our attacking final third to click.

Two goals from a corner.

Orient created nowt.

Derby look quicker, stronger and are getting to all the second balls.

Dominating position without actually creating very much, mostly playing in front of Orient and trying to swing in crosses and win corners. Working so far, no complaints.

Owen sounding as excitable as us lot, which is endearing. A good foil to Barker, who always sounds like he's commentating from his bed, bless him.

A decent game today, with conditions better than of late. Movement off the ball really good, with everyone showing. A controlled, confident and disciplined performance thus far.

Elsewhere, Posh seem to have shot their bolt so if we maintain this level (and don't return from HT half asleep), it'll likely be down to a straight shootout between us and Bolton for 2nd place, the slight concern being whether Posh will still be up for Bolton.

For all the other fans dotted around Europe watching from Rams TV

How insightful has Buck been on co-comms? Clearly knows what’s going on behind the scenes and on the pitch with this side

Great performance first half, clearly want it more than them and are practically bullying them. Winning so many 50/50’s and putting in some great, high effort tackles

half time Bolton Pompy 1-1.... think Portsmouth needed half time

Bolton vulnerable from set pieces hopefully Portsmouth nick a set piece. That will either finish 1 - 1 or 2 -2

also Portsmouth good on the break look at the Peterborough goal so if Bolton go for it they could be caught on the break

Pressure will mount on bolton as second half goes on if they don’t score early

Even if Bolton draw its back into our hands that’s the main thing

Collins is really on fire for Bolton… oh how I wish we could have bought him in Jan…

All Bolton first half and Pompey rather hanging on…

Anyone having advocated for Bradley this season, would likely having been feeling pretty let down by him after the Northampton debacle, but he's been excellent today. A brave call from Warne (not one I'd have made!) and great to see the player working hard to redeem himself.

Big 45 minutes ahead, but it's been quietly impressive so far. More of the same please!!!

It's good to hear his insight of who does what at the training ground. He also gives good insights on how we work to retain the ball, winning a throw in off the back of another throw for example. He does sound a bit more knowledgeable than Barker, but then barker might have his own style where he presents to football fans, rather than football experts.

If none of that makes sense, it's because I'm three beers in YOU RAMS
