Bris Vegas
This league is so bad that Portamouth and Oxford United look like running away with it. We couldn’t have asked for a better scenario with Blackpool, Wigan and Reading coming down and in disarray. Throw in Barnsley, last season’s fourth best side, losing their manager and looking a lot weaker. We should be p1ssing this league. There are no excuses. We're 10 points off the pace, and we just drew with the team bottom of the league. A team who before us, hadn't even scored a goal. It's not anywhere near good enough. What miracle are we supposed to be sat waiting for? Well, for a start, it's just football, so any sense of shame is likely misplaced. If by some stratch of the the imagination, Warne does feel shame, I am not sure which specific actions he took today will have caused it. On a day when countries in the middle east went to war and people in this country have been flooded out of their home, you people need to get a grip. TheTinMan
My take is if Warne hadn't got lucky inheriting McGoldrick last season we'd have been mid table mediocrity which is roughly where we're on track for this season. But he's probably got the wage bill of a top 2 side even with the restrictions. Nowhere near good enough. I’ll keep saying it until my patience with Warne wears out, I’m not as far down that road as others, we’re not sinking down the table, we’re not quite where we need to be either but there’s a lot of time to go this season. I’m not clamouring for the performances others are, I don’t love Warne’s approach but I don’t hate it either. If Warne doesn’t deliver what Clowes expects he’ll get sacked, and someone else gets their chance, I just don’t think calling for a sacking after an away draw is the most balanced approach to have. I’m aware lots disagree but I can have my opinion as much as others can. Miggins, NottsRam77, archram and 4 others 3

Are you saying people shouldn't have an emotional connection to their football team because some places are at war? And then you sign off with "get a grip" without a shred of irony. Jourdan
Classic Derby really. A big win v Blackpool but fluffing two regulation wins v Cambridge and Cheltenham. I don’t think you can fault the manager. We have created enough chances to win all three games with a bit more composure. Clearly we are still a work in progress and clearly when we are on it, we are still very capable of finishing in the play-offs. Portsmouth and Oxford have set an incredible pace, but there are still 35 games to go. All we can do at the moment is position ourselves to take advantage if they slow down. maxjam, Leicester Ram, BPV and 4 others 1 2

If we started the first half the way we started the second, we win by 2 or 3. Horrible, horrible result. 4 or 5? I’d say we had one clear cut (Collins 2 yards out) but the rest were half chances at best. Still abysmal quality in the last third mind.

Probably on a decent Champ wage, which Warne would have available to spend on a specialist LWB. Likewise, if I’m Sibley I’d be calling my agent on a regular basis to find me a club. I’m not Sibley’s biggest fan, but if he can’t get a regular game this season under Warne, he never will. He's not wanted is he. If it was up to you, Nigel Clough would probably still be here. Outside the playoffs is completely unacceptable. Any competent manager (frankly, even Nigel Pearson) would have this team top two. And I mean anyone. Genuinely, sack Paul Warne and stick a steward in charge and we’ll be doing better. It’s almost impressive how bad a job he’s doing. And you say your piece every week, you just believe you’re more right than me and seemingly get more angry about it than I do 🤷🏻♂️ I’ve said before I have different expectations to others and am to a point quite content having a team to follow week in week out. I do think calling for a sacking every week is melodramatic, but I appreciate you have articulated your reasons for wanting that. Guest
5 minutes ago, Caerphilly Ram said: The up and down drama of the forum at times, Warne in/Warne out etc is just silly in my opinion. I completely agree - a brilliant win (and very good at performance) didn't and shouldn't silence those who aren't sure Warne is the man; a dismal first-half and failure to beat a (very) poor team today isn't enough to condemn him. But while there were positives on display, there remains quite a list of concerns/gripes... and it's the head-scratchers that bug me most. Why did he revert back to a formation and exact line-up that couldn't beat Cambridge? Why can't he see where Sibley plays best and give him at least 20 minutes there (or anywhere, come to think of it)? What did he make of Bird running the show for 20 minutes before he moved him further forward. (I think Bird can play there - but come on - he was running rings around Cheltenham!) Etc.! Walkley Ram
Warne on the radio saying he didn't want the ball in the middle of the park because they had the overload. Says we needed it out wide as we have the two best wide players in the league. When Bird came on and we used the midfield, we looked a different side. And people still say it's not his fault. It's anti football. And he's happy to admit to it. Zag zig, Wsm-ram, IlsonDerby and 6 others 8
Barney1991
His post interview is exactly why we are so predictable. Get it wide and put crosses in was his game plan which has clearly been found out. Didn’t want bird in midfield as he didn’t want control. The league is that crap that just by virtue of having the players we do we’ll be battling for play offs. Steve bloomers bust would have us top 8 in this division so ‘falling down the league’ won’t ever happen. RoyMac5 and BPV
