Ambitious Posted August 31, 2023 Share Posted August 31, 2023 Vaulks fits the bill as a player who can play CM and RB. He was a key player for Wednesday last season, but seems to have fallen out of favour in the new look Sheffield Wednesday so to get him in on loan/cheap would be a bit of a steal at this level. He adds energy into the middle of the park - not afraid to put a tackle, 90 in the league last season which was the highest (significantly) in Wednesday's side. Warne had a good relationship with him previously and Vaulks won POTY under him during 17/18 promotion season. He's a brilliant character around the dressing room too, apparently, so can see why Warne would be interested. A good replacement for Jason Knight, for sure. I’d say with the age of Hourihane and bird injured, a CM is a must. We would hate to be caught short while Bird is out and with more potential injuries as the season goes on.
