JCH is highly unlikely BUT watch the space , it could be more exciting than Gregory

The only way I see this happeneing is if we do a straight swap with Fornah, with them having enough time in to get loan cover in for CF.

Unrelated, but I didn't realise how small their squad was. Outside of their first 11, they have Clarke-Harris who has played a bit part role this season, a winger who comes on when Mason-Clarke or Poku need a breather, and a backup kepper. They also have a CB who hasn't started since September (following 7 goals being conceded in 2 games). The rest of their squad has played a total of 622 minutes between them. If they don't suffer from fatigue in the 2nd half of the season, they'll surely pick up a couple of injuries with results dropping off.

Based on this……here’s hoping their first choice CB gets a niggly (not nasty) injury that plagues him and keeps him out for the rest of the season….. 🤞🏻

I really like Fornah. I do think there's a player there. I think he's far too laid back and loses the ball to easily sometimes. But he's young and has potential.

But for what we need now. If Peterborough even considered swapping JCH for Fornah then I'd do it in a heartbeat 😂

Maybe with a bit of Bird Dosh also this could be an option?

This time last year and I'd have bitten your hand off for him, but he's a bit of a flat track bully. Posh fan mate reckons he's a good League One player but was woefully out of his depth in the Champ. Maybe a season of bench warming has given him so introspection and watered down his massive wage demands though.

Even on a free transfer, you would expect JCH to cost a pretty penny, especially given he is 30 and this could be his last chance at a big contract.

21 goals in 98 Championship games for two struggling, relegation threatened sides suggests he could definitely do a job and would be a good option to have, but if funds are tight, could we spend the money better?

It’s a risk whichever way we go, but personally if we are going to take such risks, I’d rather stick with Gayle (who is a slightly different player) who has already shown he can flourish under Warne and work well with the current squad when fit.

Yeah agree on him not being cheap, I’d personally go Clarke-Harris over Gayle though. Gayle fitness seems to be an issue and much older. Clarke Harris think would be much more physical, better in the air too.

I think we should have signed him last season at the 250k Bristol Rovers had accepted.  His hold up play at that level is very good and with a run he'd have got goals we were scratching around strikers for.  I also suggested after that, his job would be done and we might even get a fair profit from a relegated side needing goals..  He got 9 in a full season at this level at prime age, he won't be more proficient 3 years later.

Looked a bit heavy when he came on against Bolton.

Not sure stepping up a league is right for him at this stage of his career.

Looked a bit of a lump when he came on at PP in the Champ for Posh. Not sure if he fits the profile for pace and pressing. Think he will say in L1

on a free id certainly have him instead of waghorn and washington. JCH , Gayle and collins is prob a decent strike force to start with? especially if we've got em all on a free.
