Read the second paragraph mate 👍🙄

Read it….and. You were bringing up sell on value. My point is we need not worry about it when we are not spending anything on fees plus if they help us get promotion our revenue will increase. No need for this fixation on sell on value in our current position.

It isn’t just about resale value though. An ageing team gets tired and cannot all play 2 games in a few days as is the case in this league. With a small squad and lots of 30+ aged players it’s not a good mix. As Warne highlighted last season, hence the reasoning behind changing that this season.

Neither May or Nombe scored yesterday either

It's not about just scoring goals, it's about creating goal scoring chances, whether that's for themselves or others. Collins is great when the ball comes into him 6 yards out, he's not good at dropping deep. It's not to say he's not useful, but he's not an out and out threat imo

But that’s 2 different things…agree we need some younger players in to the squad but think we can put resale value on the back burner for now…

That would mean we'd be back in the Championship so it'll do for me.

Oh if only it was that simple.

What he actually seems to be doing is trying to turn us into Rotherham, but without having the right players to do so.

We have no equivalent to Ladapo, Smith or Barlaser who were all essential in making their.system work. We don't have legs in the middle of the pitch to make it work without the defence being ridiculously exposed.

I don't mind us being turned into the Rotherham who got automatic promotion, I do mind us being turned into a a s*** version of Rotherham.

Except for yesterday. He has no other features to redeem his misses. 😞

I think that true, but I am beginning to sense that there are a much larger number of Rams fans who are beginning to doubt the abilities of Warne. Not everyone questioning our signings, potential signings, and style of play is a rabid keyboard warrior. He is getting much closer to dividing fan opinion than ever. We do need more walk and less talk from him.

Would that have been the case if we had won though.

Which is what I was dreading. I should have left it unsaid

I think you did the right thing, informed people but protected the person who gave you the information. A lot will guess wrong and some right. However thats not the point. Its good to know that the net has been spread wide and we are looking at younger players that fit what Warne wants. So thank you

I can’t answer that obviously, but I guess a little less. There is however a discernible movement on this forum over recent weeks. There are seem to be a lot more beginning to doubt his methods and abilities. He might not be on borrowed time with Clowes, but his support on here is showing some signs of ebbing.

Harrogate's centre forward Luke Armstrong made himself unavailable for selection for their League Two opener yesterday, after bids from League One. I'd be surprised if it was us, but you never know. He does have a beard. https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/sport/football/harrogate-town-boss-simon-weaver-on-the-shock-absence-of-luke-armstrong-and-what-needs-to-happen-for-the-striker-to-leave-the-league-two-club-4244976

I remember thinking after the Sheff Weds game last year, what this team really needs is Conor Washington, Martyn Waghorn and possibly Billy Sharpe and Jordan Rhodes. They were the first names on my list because there definitely can’t be anyone better. My cup runneth over.

I’m also pleased we have failed to address the glaring midfield imbalance and have chosen to go with three centre halves with no pace whatsoever. What could possibly go wrong!

Quite like the lad Forsyth though.

Concerned from Derby.

Exactly my fear, we've recruited a promotion specialist who'd spent 20 years near enough at that club, and still got them relegated 3 times.

He's funny in interviews, mind.

Crazy idea maybe but why not give Brown a chance instead of Sharp or Rhodes? Would offer something different, cheap and with potential sell on value. I mean it's L1 not the champions league after all so it would seem possible that the best striker in our academy might do a job for the first team maybe? If we have to go for either Sharp or Brown for the season I know who I would like the club to give the chance to.

Crazy idea only because Warne needs his team to go up this season. If he doesn’t achieve that he will be toast with many fans. He isn’t going to chance a young, raw striker when he thinks Sharp or Rhodes offers him greater certainty of short term gain.
