It's not the drawing, it's not the point, its the horrendous showing from everyone other than the defence and Adams. Everyone else way off it. I genuinely think NML should not be captain. Great player on his day but so awful tonight, bickering with his team mates, woeful passing, shocking finishing, just not right for the role imo. We need Gayle back, that man will save the autos.

Good to see others are saying the same about wash. Doing nothing but run around with no product.. not just an end product just in general. We need Gayle back before it's too late in all honesty. The only striker we have that offers a link. So boring to see us play like this but it's the derby way. Do everything right for 90% of the season, but turn into a bunch of sleeve chewers when it matters. Every. Single. Year. Up the Rams! 🙃

If we get Gayle back in time, I genuinely think he'll be the man to put the ball in the net when it matters. I've been a Derby fan to know we LOVE to bottle it but I think whether It's automatic or via the play offs, we go up. 🐏

I said it a thousand times, Gayles game has changed from the out and out goal scorer that we knew of him years ago. Now its about his intelligence, movement, linkup play. Just like NML and Didzy when he was here, he's got an opportunity to get a good run of games, no real pressure to perform, and allows him to grow in confidence, aswell as building continuity with the rest of the lads. Hes popped up with a goal after 2 appearances and I said that if he can get an early goal in his time here, i reckon the flood gates will open and I stand by that. A confident Gayle in this league would walk into any teams starting 11 and I reckon just like NML, we will get the best out of him. 👌

Warne always refers to Liverpool or Man City in interviews when talking about tactics/good teams and I know he would love us to be this multidimensional team that can effortlessly switch systems but we are in the 3rd tier of English football, We are Derby County, NOT Liverpool or Man City, that is the reality. Drastically changing to 3 at the back with absolutely zero proof that we play better that way to see games out, we don't. Every time we go 3 at the back we completely lose any edge and become this unorganised, disjointed team on the back foot. It seems we alway revert to that because for some reason Warne loves yanking his chain over it. The reality is, we (imo) need to go to a 4123, stick with it for the rest of the season. 1 system, 1 lot of instructions, simplify it. Players should be then picked on form to play in that system, not shoe horning everyone in with a complete change of system because you see Man City, a billion pound team, do it on Match Of The Day. We have more than enough to get out this league, but we need to play to our strengths and admit defeat when something isn't working, because right now reverting back to type is not it. Still alot of games to play and no doubt there will be more drama, but we need to stomp this bottling out now. 🙏

Game Management it's absolutely awful. Go back to 4123, 3 at the back is not working. Every single time we go 3 at the back we look confused/sloppy and always make mistakes. Let that be our last mistake because if we throw it away now, that will a sackable offence for me.

My godson was playing for QPR when they were in the championship and the concencous was they cut the academy, saved and invested their money in the recruiting players who would make an instant impact. They relied on a system that was based primarily on stats rather than names and If I remember rightly, their scouting system wasn't even done by people who were of your regular scout mould, but more so stat experts who seemed to be very good at more often than not picking players who fit the bill perfectly.

His "welcome to derby" interview better be the best one ever because the suspense is killing me. This has got to be the longest new signing interview wait ever surely?

You have to remember we are in League 1.. and just like Mcgoldrick had, Gayle has qualities completely levels above this League. Jordan Rhodes had an abysmal last few seasons and has somehow found form again. So actually think its the opposite, don't write him off as he might just surprise you. I've seen enough of him to know his qualities aren't luck, it's permanent. If he finds form early on, he could be a real gem. I'll lay my neck on the line and say, if he scores this weekend or in the next 2 games, the floodgates will open for him and you'll see we've got a great player for the duration.

I think people are focusing too much on his goals. Yes he's coming in to be a striker, but his link up play is where he shines most these days. I think he's gonna be the clever link between NML and whoever else plays in attack with him. Ofcourse we hope he will contribute to the goal tally, but he has come in and has qualities that none of our strikers do, and in this league, its a big signing even at his age. Looking forward to seeing his first game 👌

Is this a sell out? I live in Cornwall and I'm trying to get myself and my 6 year old lad a ticket for the game but can't seem to buy a ticket off the site but it doesn't say its sold out? Anyone have an Infortmation or know if any tickets anywhere, please let me know 🙂 COYR 🐏🐏

Don't know why but I've always liked Dwight Gayle. Not had the best run the last few years but I still remember him bursting onto the scene and he was unplayable in the champ. It would be a yes from me in our current situation and maybe we can get him playing again like we did NML. Would of liked to of seen this done earlier though instead of wasting time trying to get Wednesday's 3rd and 4th choice strikers and failing at that.

I would like to see us starting to push Fapetu in the team now. He has stood out for me the few times I've seen him play. Bird can still start, but anytime there's chance to, I'd give Robinson and Fapetu as many minutes as possible because next season, they will be more than knocking on the door, especially if we don't go up.

Is that all but finished as in a completely no go, or finished as in nearly come to a deal?

About time we got an out and out CDM. Bird, Hourihane and Smith are all "keep the ball ticking over" players, they aren't all out attacking and certainly not all out defensive. Glad to see this position filled, now we just need a striker and that should be enough to see us through imo, but NOT Lee Gregory.

I watch every single game and pay to do so. I go to pride Park when I'm in Derby just to see it even when we're not playing. I used to get the train from Cornwall to Derby at the age of 15 with my mate who was the same age, watch them and then travel home. I don't care about watching Any other team, England included. I don't even watch MOTD anymore because unless Derby are in the prem I'm not interested. Derby is football to me, and I never miss a game, even when in hospital with my new born, I still watched. I keep upto date every hour for anybit of news, I live and breathe this club, so don't tell me to "support the lads" because it's all I do unfortunately. So if I have an opinion or assumption, and a fair one at that, I'll definitely be inclined to share it.

It's a bit of a lose lose tbh. We don't go up, it's because we've not recruited right, and if somehow by the grace of God we scrape it, we've got to overhaul 80% of the team with Warnes ever present pulling power in regards to quality players... What an awful time to be alive. 🙃
