This is beautiful. Cooper is obviously a great manager who worked a minor miracle to get Forest promoted.

The owner is a crook/gangster, who has totally screwed up the promotion with a ridiculous number of signings that was never gonna work.

We know who will definitely be there for the next match. If I was Cooper, I would definitely be buying my bread from Tesco/Sainsburys now, rather than a smaller shop specialising in baked goods only.

All paid for on a loan apparently. That is not going to end well ??

If he goes after this, which he almost certainly will, the next club who’s gets him will be very lucky.

Middlesborough? Not sure a PL outfit like Wolves would want him at the moment.

He'd be better sitting things out for a while, certainly until after the World Cup.

After all, he has a track record better than Southgate when it comes to the junior England set up, I wouldn't put it beyond the FA to appoint him if Gareth has a particularly poor tournament.

Well after we lost to you 5 nil I checked in, ahead of the L1 relegation game against Ipswich game I checked in, all the other Derby day defeats, and here I am again..

I will say I still realistically want SC to succeed here and stay on, but I don’t see any scenario where Marinakis doesn’t pull the trigger after this. Which is an absolute travesty as Pep G himself couldn’t put this lot together in such a short space of time.

I’d hedge a bet on our team from last season, or even your lower league shower beating this current Forest outfit.

Welcome back dawnie. My natural style of downbeat pessimistic misery has been crying out for companionship from a like minded soul... ?

They had to though Bris. No team had ever got promoted to the PL as ill-prepared as we were, bar maybe Blackpool all those years ago.

They needed to make signings and lots of them. Some will be hits some will fail. I honestly think it’s too early to judge really as we’ve not had enough time to judge them yet.

I’d imagine someone like Sean Dyche will be waiting in the wings though 2BH. Ex Forest knows the club..

Heard Nedum Onuoha talking about this the other day from a perspective of an ex-player rather than some people on a forum who might have played Premier Manager in early 90s.

He was saying if you had joined Forest early in the window, say as a RB, been told you would be RB in the Premier League, you buy into the club/the manager etc....only to then see the club buy another RB a couple of weeks later....you would not be happy and feel screwed over.

"We needed to buy 22 players as we had some loanees last season. How else would we only conceed 4 vs Leicester? Everyone knows you stay up in the Prem by buying loads of players and continually change them."

Do you think that to mark this auspicious occasion they will, belatedly, in 20 years time, add an extra star underneath the sprig of broccoli on their shirts?

But you would probably recognise that there needs to be a backup.. the right back situation is a little overblown as Richards received an injury shortly after signing (or the medical didn’t do its job). Squads are hugely important in the PL particularly with 5 sub rule coming in

Would we swap positions with Forest now if we could? Think you could make a strong argument that we are set up better now for the next 4 or 5 seasons.

The main thing they have going for them is they can use their other club to cheat FFP and the transfer system.

On the downside, they are staring down the barrel of relegation, a squad full of disinterested expensive players, a gangster of an owner who will surely get caught out eventually, a massive wage bill and transfer fees to fund, a rundown ground they don't even own, a fataliatic fan base who deep down know they have properly screwed it up etc etc.

Conversely, I like our direction of travel, everyday is something of a blessing vs the last few seasons. It's not a huge stretch to see us challenging for promotion into the Prem in about 3 or 4 years, with Forest looking at severe financial problems and relegations. And that's if their crook owner doesn't just f off and leave them even more in the lurch. He doesn't seem that trustworthy.

I didn't realise the RB situation was a thing. Applies to other positions too. Yeah a bit of backup is good!

But 22 players is 2 full teams! What about all the players that were there already! You aren't competing on all fronts this season. You might have 40 games. And a World Cup break.

And 150 million! You must be hoping your criminal boss is as prudent financially as he is lucky when witnesses don't testify.
