Burnley sack Dyche

I think this is a poor decision. It's desperation. Dyche has single handedly kept Burnley up year after year. He's done a great job. I think they'll get relegated now.

Seems like an insane decision to me. He's kept the smallest, most underfunded club in the Premier League away from relegation for several seasons. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in League 1 in 18 months.

Yeah, they have struggled a bit this season but I believe he would have got them promoted again next year.

Unless they pick the right manager I can see them having a bit of a slump tbh, Dyche has been over performing for years.

Won't have trouble finding another job. This will go down as one of the worst decisions they have made as a club.

Needed money to spend, not sacking. Ridiculous decision.

That seems a bit mad to me.  He’s the sort of manager you’d want in their situation.  And he’s the sort of manager you’d want to get out of the championship.

Loaded with debt too following their takeover, big trouble ahead.

Hopefully the EFL will help them navigate away from Administration and alter the rules accordingly.

Great manager and character. Seems a strange decision, who will come in, big Sam or the recently retired Colin ? Hope they go down now.

On the plus side he can now audition for the part of the Dalek leader, Davros,  in the new Dr Who series.

He's nowhere near favourite with SkyBet - Allerdyce 3/1 with Rooney way out at 18/1

Am sure Wood had a buy out clause in his contract so once Newcastle matched that figure then he was gone.....unless he himself decided not to go and turn down a massive pay rise, tricky one that.....

I've come up with a hypothetical situation in my head that makes this make sense.

The Burnley board are aware that Dyche will be leaving after the season, he's told them he wants a fresh challenge.

The Burnley board think, well he's off and won't care if we go down, let's try and get someone in for that bounce in the hope it keeps us up.

That's all I have.

Bizarre. Even if they go down, Dyche is proven enough they would have been big favorites to go back up.

They seemed destined to become a yo yo club on their current budget. Now I’m not so sure.
