Great interview on Radio Derby. Really honest.

Said if it was any other club than Derby he'd have been gone before now. But he wanted to stay and this is now the longest he has stayed at any club in his career.

Also said neither him nor Stearman even knew they'd be here when they trained Thursday and that they had no playing time together as a pair in pre-season.

Gave praise to Derby players and call outs for Roos, Sibley, Fozzy.

Oh, and he did say he didn't touch the ball for the goal! But he credited Duane Holmes with the assist! ?

Love that.

Thought the interview was very revealing. Showed both what a great guy Curtis is and what a shambles of a club Derby is right now. Sounds like chaos behind the scenes and that was clear in Curtis’ interview, lucky for us he’s a great guy willing to stick at the club despite the mess caused by Mel.

Spot on to highlight Curtis.

However in any attribution of blame for where we are now the EFL are as culpable as any other, including Mel

Just watched an interview with curtis on ramstv. Speaks really well, should have been captain for me but thats another topic. He mentioned the whole signing situation should have been handled alot better and he "loves the football club" and  that he signed with a "grimace" on his face. I wonder if the grimace comment coincides with the "unbelievable scenes" that morrisson posted online. Does anybody have a clue why he had the grimace?

Actually surprised that Rams t.v had that clip left in the interview because I saw it as much a poke at the inside of the club, as well as outside such as the EFL. As @Rev said, honesty is all we ask for, Curtis was as honest about the lead up, as he is playing the game, as he was in not claiming the goal.

His comments about needing help, whilst obvious, were designed to pull no punches. It’s great to have him around, he may well be the inspiration this team needs, as he communicates his points so well. Captain in all but name, leader in every sense.
