I will be adding more to this over the next few days but today we were very proud to unveil the lasting memory to Reg, it is now situated in the reception at pride park, we rethought the logic, the bronze bust will be placed there and a replica will also be installed at Field Land FC in Alvaston.

we are really proud to have got this over the line, planning permission and Covid 19 delayed matters but it is now in situ and for all to see.

So it’s at Pride Park? That’s great.  Wasn’t it planned for a local football teams home ground originally?

Once David clowes took over he was very receptive of the idea and proposition from us, so it’s been installed right inside the main entrance the bronze bust is worth around £8k and getting it insured from theft and damage was expensive so we are also paying for a concrete resin replica and plaque to also be installed at field lane to recognise his work further for grass roots, so we have managed to do two tributes and lasting recognitions.
