Almost, but I'd put Bogle back in his preferred position. No need to bring wisdom in yet. Therefore I'd bring Holmes in and stick him on the right as he always offers something when running at and beating defenders. I don't think dowell has enough to do the no 10 role so I'd swap him with Lawrence.

I'd happily take a comfortable 2:0 but even that may be beyond us.

I like this side. Arguably could have Holmes instead of Dowell. I suspect we won’t ever see it though.

I can see your logic and very much support the introduction of Sisley and Knight but two major questions are:

1. Are we just hoping Bielik is a good centre half because he’s struggling in midfield?

If so, pairing him with a very nervous Davies isn’t a great strategy, especially since, for a big man, Bielik is pretty average in the air.

2. Where does Martin’s support come from?

None of the four behind him is a prolific scorer or indeed is calm in the penalty area, albeit on their day, each one is a good player.

Bielik reminds me of Carbonari. He seems like a good option for left sided centre back even though he lacks pace. He looks far too clumsy in midfield. There were times in the past when we played a central defender as a holding midfielder - o'riordan, and mcafferey come to mind (didn't andy todd play there too?) , and bielik looks similar. 

Davies is short term. He has done ok but ultimately evans would be my choice. I would hope that evans and bielik have enough quality to get us out of this league, but they wouldn't be good enough for the prem. We'll worry about that when the time comes. 

Central midfield is the issue. If we sign a couple of good wingers then lawrence and holmes can compete for central midfield positions. The above selection is based on what we have now. It doesn't seem that cocu is particularly inclined to play knight or sibley, never mind both. He would probably pick dowell and paterson, but i cannot see any point in picking loanees in preference.

The 4141 line up could switch to 4132 with marriott pared with martin or waghorn, simply by subbing sibley. 

This would allow us to develop all of our most promising sprogs - bogle, lowe, knight and sibley. We have to be bold otherwise we will struggle to give gametime to anyone other than bogle. If that persists then its hard to imagine knight AND sibley both being able to continue their careers here.
