Why?

For a good laugh and a distraction from the managerial waiting room go and read the 'Time for Youth' thread.

One of the best examples of someone's argument being comprehensively shot down, taken apart, ripped to shreds that I've seen in a while.

clearly idiotic team selection (Hughes and Thorne) for the final Ipswich game of the season that lost us George Thorne and the playoffs.

Blaming a manager for a player breaking his leg is one of the more nonsensical posts it has recently been my misfortune to be subjected to. Well played (if you were going misère).

Spoke to my source and he said the same was told last week after interviews that Frank looked highly unlikely.

But he said things seem to have changed. Lampard wants it. Morris was initially apprehensive about the lack of experience.

Expect an announcement next week as Lampard is on BT Sport duty in the Ukraine for the champs league final apparently.

But why Lampard compared to a thousand other ex-players? Why is a one in a hundred shot that he might be good exciting? Just seems like star struck nonsense to be.

Because he's the only one who's applied for the job?

We've done 'tried and tested' until the cows came home and were milked.

If Villa don't win the final then Terry is out of contract...

Kasey Palmer, Tammy Abraham and Piazon would be looking for lower prem/ championship loans...

Drogba and Ashley Cole playing in America and out of contract in December...

Soloman Kalou scored 12 goals in the Bundesliga last year...

Nice to think about even though we can't afford any of their wages ?

This is ******* bonkers, is this actually happening.

playing with the clubs future.

Probably the most crucial turning point at the club in years and it looks like we’re  going to appoint a manager who hasn’t even got his pro license yet to steer us through it.

Utter madness

Hopefully he spots a decent player or two out there who might fancy a few years in England

If he gets the job, I doubt he will be out in Russia for the best part of the summer looking at potentials.

I know the team aren't due back until late June but there will be so much to do before.

Hes been here what? A decade. And weve produced half a dozen players tops under him. Piss poor

The Ipswich team selection and the Hull 1st leg are evidence hes out his depth. Rotherham too

Doesn't need a Pro license, and won't for at least another 12 months. Plus, he's already working towards it anyway.
