And has provided zilch for the first team from the academy, despite all the money ploughed into it, we need a whole new management structure from top to bottom.

Our best prospect can’t even get in Shrewsbury’s starting 11.

Thank goodness someone else feels that way.. don’t get the love for Wassall. He means well and tries to play good football but he’s tactically naive and his record in the academy is poor. Would like a new academy director this summer as well as manager.

I’d have Igor but ex players returning as manager..... Sometimes it’s tears ?‍♂️

Stimac - you have to be joking. He’s a dodgy character with an awful managerial record. So he was a great player for us (when it suited him ) - so what. In what way does this qualify him to be our manager? I read he’s an early favourite- God help us if  Stimac gets the job

Was going to say the same about the Academy - one of the best setups in the country and certainly at this level yet delivering little or no output - another Wassall failure?

I would get rid of him in a flash as well - new start all round, new approach new fresh thinking....

Got to wonder who does the Academy scouting? But would there be more talent coming through if one or two where given chance? Is it chicken and egg...

This is why I want to go foreign, Carvahal for eg. Get some foreign flare / methods through the whole set up.

Can't afford that....

Totally agree. I have just looked at his managerial record, he has been a disaster where ever he has been.....

Would anyone take clough back if he leaves burton ?

Not many on this forum would do mate. But this forum represents about 2% of our support. So the other 98% of fans aren’t heard. I’d love him back. With abit more money than last time he’d get us in the premiership within 2 seasons.

The starting 11 from Nigel Clough’s last match. He signed or brought through any single player.

Get him back now.

Surely this and the significant improvement McClaren made to the team overnight tells you that Clough couldn't get the best out of his players. I was gutted when he went but looking back it was undeniable.

What money is that?

Paul Cook would be my choice. He's got a tremendous track record. Got Chesterfield, Portsmouth and Wigan promoted. Would be an exciting choice. I think if we have to spend some compensation to get the right man, so be it. The manager is the most important piece of the jigsaw.

I’m sorry, but 15 pages and not one of you had even acknowledged the fact that B4 suggested three-time Manager of the Month 1998/1999 winner Alan Curbishley as a possible replacement. Alan Curbishley..!

**** it, let’s bring back David O’Leary! ?

Yes! Living the dream!

Dean Smith for me, always played a great brand of football, despite loosing his best players each season, always kept exciting young players performing and with some experience I’m sure would put together a team to challenge for promotion.

Be interesting to know that tbf... should certainly be a specialised set up imo. It is true we don’t seem to give many chances to youngsters but equally none have gone on to be great when released so maybe they weren’t that great to start with?
