We've been playing really badly and are under a lot of pressure if we want any hope of salvaging our season. This is going to be very tough and right now a Villa win would be no surprise. But I hope my pessimism is unfounded and we put on a show that turns the season round and begins another epic winning run to catapault us back towards the playoff places. COYR! So its Nugent or Vydra, and Nugent has certainly shown more in the last few games than Vydra has all season. If we want a change up front, Nugent can come on for Bent, if we want 2 up front Nugent can come on alongside Bent, or we can use one of the more versatile players up there (Russell, Ince, Bennett etc). There are very few situations where a second striker on the bench is going to be useful (at least compared to having a second winger, or a second midfielder, or a spare fullback) - hence why he didn't come on against Burton.
