A penny for Mels thoughts right now.

well you will probably know soon enough because although he said he was going to "keep out of the spotlight" he will probably be in the dressing room again...or sticking his nose in somewhere else it isn't needed or helpful

To be fair he's obviously a good coach, he talks like he knows his stuff & its his first managerial job.

however he has no experiance of being in this position, madrid, psg & chelsea (when he was there) have never been in a position where they have not won a game for so long. They are also some of the best sides in eurpoe that can play possession football well.

Is one of the answers to get him an old experianced championship head as a number two to help him out ? Or is that undermining

The problem is, he's looking more like a McClaren who needs a Jim Smith to be number one to his number two.

Turning around a slump was Clement's first real test as a manager. He seems to be failing it. That makes me sad for him, but there really are no mitigating circumstances - we might have over paid for average players, but they are certainly good enough to achieve more than they are doing.

Seems the reaction to loss of form has been to drill players into set things with no fluidity or risk taking.

Oh well, if we hang on a month or so we might get schtevie back anyway.

Mel Morris has got to take some of the blame too the recruitment has been shocking! Says it all when most people want Bryson and hendrick in the middle when we've just broke our transfer record on two new midfielders. Also appointing an inexperienced coach and a number two who ain't got no coaching expierence in Phillips. Questions have really got to be asked now!

But if players are consistently being played out of position and in a formation that doesn't suit how is that Mels fault?

Doesn't he also have the vastly experienced John Peacock as a number 2?

I don't understand why he instructs Derby to sit so deep. Where is the logic? And this hasn't always been the case. In fact, it wasn't too long ago we were really pacey and powerful going forward.

Look at how far we pushed up against Wolves for example, getting players in to the box.

How many shots have we had on target this calendar year? Serious question, exclude Hartlepool.

Dunno but apparently we cant take the nets down at the iPro as there is a rare breed of spiders nesting in them
