sage
He's still under conract - why would he come without a fee? To reduce their wages and get them off the FFP embargo?
Kernow
If taking their best player means then going down then it's oh so worth it.
LUFC
I'd imagine you'd be paying the remainder of his contract. We've done deals like this before when we signed Billy Sharp, and when we sold Tom Lees to Wednesday.
Stive Pesley
To reduce their wages and get them off the FFP embargo? Also - the PFA have been mediating between him and Leeds, as he's claiming mistreatment, so there may be breach of contract issues that Leeds don't want to get into It is claimed that Cellino allegedly tried to instigate Warnock
The Scarlet Pimpernel
As some have said. We are light at left back. We need competition for all places. Good bit of business.
EastKentRam
Forsyth frustrates the f**k out of me so I'm pleased he's hopefully being replaced. There's no way that Warnock can give the ball away more than Forsyth does, so that's enough for me.
cosmic
Jesus if he does sign. give the guy a chance. It's like a bloody witch hunt on here already. Maybe we should give him Best's number to let him know what he's in for.
YorkshireRam
Not sure about this one. 33 seems a bit old, especially when he's on big wages. He has never stood out as an exceptional player even. He might be better than Forysth but not sure he's attacking enough for our system.

And he's better than Naylor. Don't mind this at all.

BondJovi
Solid signing. Don't get why anyone would be against it, for ages we have needed decent LB cover. It seems quite obvious McClaren wants two options for every position. We are getting someone in who can do the job at this level to a good standard. Right now, we don't need to worry about if he is good enough for the Prem or his wages.
TroyDyer
Derby have a young, and exciting team. Unfortunately young and exciting doesn't get you over the line, and won't carry you through games when you are struggling and up against the cosh. There is no mistake that Eustace coming back in has gone hand in hand with an upturn in performances and results. Eustace = Experience Bent = Experience Warnock = Experience. Macca is a wise man and spoke of maturity in the post game interview at Ipswich. I think these signings are wise. If this Spanish lad comes in, that's a striker, left back, and centre half. EXACTLY what we wanted on the 31st of December. Great work by the club.

Don't mind this at all. Oh, I accept he will be useful if we sign him. I just expected a younger signing with the potential to play in the Prem. Similar to Eustace, Warnock only has a couple more seasons in him...
Derbydave96
Not the most exciting signing but good experience and another ex-captain in the team. Been very good at Leeds, will be cheap or free bar wages. Decent bit of business IMO Seems that McClaren is looking for abit of experience to see us over the line. With him and Albentosa (hopefully) we are pretty much set in every position for the rest of the season, and still have a couple of loan spots (not sure if mascarell counts towards the limit?) Rampage
Re - 3) Didnt see this one coming. Seems to be the end of the days there we used our own talented player as backup or? None of them played southport either. We preferred outgoing Best. Money talks. Get the
Rambam
You think about how much experience QPR had to edge us out at Wembley. Worth nowt now, but it got them over the line. Steve McClaren is not 'Arry thankfully.
