We always met in the late60s/70s at the Vine in Whitaker street. (Now long gone)The landlord liked a drink or three and I can remember going there once when he had a badly bruised and bloodied face. He had fallen down the steps to the basement.

nice memories of old friends who I have totally lost touch with alas.

In terms of top goal contributors whilst the Championship has been named 'Championship', 4 of the top 10 have played for Derby, and another 5 make the top 20. Want to guess at some?

Morecambe currently smashing Bristol Rovers 4-0.

Won 4 of their last 5 (including today's assumed victory), scoring 13 in the process.

So probably not going to be as easy a win as perhaps we thought. Should still do em at home though.

They did lose 4-0 at Ipswich away last week though.

In 1985/86, FA Cup Round 4 was a 1-0 away win at Sheffield United thanks to a Rob Hindmarch goal

In those days, every team played their strongest 11 in the FA Cup, it meant so much to even the giants of the game

Sheff Utd were in the top 6 of the old 2nd Division and contained our ex-goalkeeper John Burridge ( another of our ex players who allegedly escaped through a changing room window )

Derby fans numbered 9,000 out of a crowd of 22,000. The following season we took 10,000 to Bramall Lane in a win that pushed us very close to our second automatic promotion in two seasons

That was a mad day out. Great times

Who else remembers the total shock and devastation felt in 1972 when we were beaten 1-2 by Newcastle at the BBG. Some of us may even have shed a manly tear as we saw our hopes of a first League Championship disappearing down the Swanee?

Same feeling when we lost to Stoke 1-2 at the BBG on an absolute bog of a pitch in 1975. Thought we had blown it …….but no

There it is. Haider Ali 22 year old Pakistani batsman. Highly rated with plenty of international experience in the white ball stuff already, and averaging 54 in red ball cricket in Pakistan.

Here for the whole season, subject to any international call ups.

Obviously hoping he does really well , but that will mean he will probably get an International call , it’s the Derbyshire way ?

I agree, don't care what they do as they represent such a tiny minority of fans.

It annoys me they get behind this fan-led review which had 77000 replies, not all positive. Not 77000 from Derby, but the whole of the country. As a % of interested football fans that attend or view, that is very very small number.

As a business you would not base your sales strategy around such a small cross section, many of whom will be members of a trust/FSA and in favour regardless.

    Hopefully it never comes in

I’m not a member of the RT but a quick glance at your posting history and this is the only subject you seem to have posted on ? No football chat only RT any reason ?

I suppose the only answer if you don’t like what they do is set up your own organisation with like minded folk.

League game 27 was a 2-1 home win over Cardiff City putting us on 53 points, 3 ahead of our current total

In 1984/85 we lost 2-1 on a Friday Night away at Doncaster Rovers keeping us on 39 points, 11 behind our current total.

I think it was also the day we announced the signing of Gary Micklewhite from QPR

Gary Micklewhite , probably one of the best value signings DCFC ever made.

£205 million spent this season - mind blowing amount and not including wages - what could possibly go wrong - whilst somewhat exciting for some over in Doggy town there must be more who must be frightened when it starts to go wrong because there seems no rescue possible

Must have been some serious “laundering “ needed to have been done in Greece.
