The second leg of the play offs against Brighton, cracking game that was. The play off at Millwall as mentioned, memorable for all the wrong reasons. Was the first and only time I've ever felt scared at a football match. Vowed never to go to Millwall again.

Remember coming out of the ground after being held for ages while chaos reigned outside - it was eerily silent. Police escort for safety in group to station expecting their fans to come roaring around a corner at any second!

  2. Cant imagine any other owner now but DC may look for investors if he wants to spread the load. Would trust his judgement on what/who is needed and at what pace and hope fans do to and are patient especially based on how this season turned out.

Andyย Appleby & co reappeared during admin and similar to DC seemed to be there a little because of sentiment. Wonder if they became acquainted with DC somehow during admin and could invest?
Were other rumours earlier in the season about potential US investors at a match I think?

Finally chat now and then online of a Dutch consortium involving Cocu wanting to buy or invest in an english efl club. As long as Cocu not out for revenge ๐Ÿ˜‚

Anyway I trust and back David Clowes whatever he wants to do. interesting times ahead

  3. We park in A (we use electric chargers also sometimes) and it saves my 81 y/o mum walking. We travel 2 hours home after game so generally not in rush to leave as nothing else planned - enjoy lingering in the stadium, sometimes Franke and Benny's etc but if you have to get home for something at a specific time, go to work, etc prob not good option unless leave early (having said that never have so dont know if that helps if you can!

Thought the club handled it well.ย  Obviously there are mixed opinions about pitch invasions - personally I'm all for them - it's a chance for fans to really feel part of the club not just customers.ย  ย It was good to see all the younger fans ready to run on.ย  Everyone seemed to enjoy it - even the stewards - if people don't want to run on surely the spectacle beatsย  a lap of honour?

Was more worried about sanctions from pitch invasion than it as a celebration. Suspect slight early finish was agreed by all parties. The Bolton result meant it didnt matter. We're west upper and it looked magnificent. We really enjoyed it especially on realising players were in the middle of it. Cash staggering out of the crowd with his can was a favourite moment. I'm short so would have seen nothing if on the pitch and with my mum! Could see the players in the directors box, the trophy presentation and that crowd. Truly an unforgettable day

    Get well soon, @Day.

I thought the celebrations were terrific - such powerful emotions as I watched from above.

Didn't leave until after the trophy celebrations.ย

Admittedly I couldn't see a lot of it, but you could just feel the passion - and relief.ย

Well done, Derby County fans. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

    WE are Derby.

I agree - it was amazing. Total joy and relief. ย Someone mentioned 25,000 in the stands - didnt seem to be anyone in the stands except our West Upper. Could see the trophy presentation perfectly so seemed best of both worlds.ย

  6. What a day. I love everything about this club so much - imagine if it had gone. So happy to see David Clowes enjoying himself so much. ย The standing ovation for him was just fabulous.
I cant really remember anything on the pitch after we got the second. I was worried we would run on the pitch before the end of 90mins (EFL!) - well done to the fellow fans who stopped those who were tempted.

The end was perfect - the pitch celebration was just that - so good natured and perfect that the players were loving it. A trophy - not sure why but again it just worked perfectly.

What scenes. Will never forget it.ย

And finally just thank you David Clowes. And thank you Paul Warne. Met him last week after Cambridge and am now totally under his spell. His hugging Max as he came off and interview on Radio Derby discussing Max and their dads sent me over the edge. He obviously cares so so much and sounded so shattered and I hope he gets to recharge properly.ย

People may say we're over-celebrating but has a promotion ever meant so much?ย
