Thought the club handled it well.  Obviously there are mixed opinions about pitch invasions - personally I'm all for them - it's a chance for fans to really feel part of the club not just customers.   It was good to see all the younger fans ready to run on.  Everyone seemed to enjoy it - even the stewards - if people don't want to run on surely the spectacle beats  a lap of honour?

Was more worried about sanctions from pitch invasion than it as a celebration. Suspect slight early finish was agreed by all parties. The Bolton result meant it didnt matter. We're west upper and it looked magnificent. We really enjoyed it especially on realising players were in the middle of it. Cash staggering out of the crowd with his can was a favourite moment. I'm short so would have seen nothing if on the pitch and with my mum! Could see the players in the directors box, the trophy presentation and that crowd. Truly an unforgettable day

    Get well soon, @Day.

I thought the celebrations were terrific - such powerful emotions as I watched from above.

Didn't leave until after the trophy celebrations.

Admittedly I couldn't see a lot of it, but you could just feel the passion - and relief.

Well done, Derby County fans. 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    WE are Derby.

I agree - it was amazing. Total joy and relief.  Someone mentioned 25,000 in the stands - didnt seem to be anyone in the stands except our West Upper. Could see the trophy presentation perfectly so seemed best of both worlds.

  3. What a day. I love everything about this club so much - imagine if it had gone. So happy to see David Clowes enjoying himself so much.  The standing ovation for him was just fabulous.
I cant really remember anything on the pitch after we got the second. I was worried we would run on the pitch before the end of 90mins (EFL!) - well done to the fellow fans who stopped those who were tempted.

The end was perfect - the pitch celebration was just that - so good natured and perfect that the players were loving it. A trophy - not sure why but again it just worked perfectly.

What scenes. Will never forget it.

And finally just thank you David Clowes. And thank you Paul Warne. Met him last week after Cambridge and am now totally under his spell. His hugging Max as he came off and interview on Radio Derby discussing Max and their dads sent me over the edge. He obviously cares so so much and sounded so shattered and I hope he gets to recharge properly.

People may say we're over-celebrating but has a promotion ever meant so much?

  4. OMG its still only Friday - what are your plans? How will you get to sleep? How can we make it go quicker? Or are you savouring it?
Couldnt sleep last night but doing an A-Z of Derby players then really helped. Only got to N.
Think I'm overly excited as didnt think could go tomorrow then Mr CBR sacrificed himself to accompany Baby CBR to offer holder day. 3 alarms already set. Aaargghhh!!

  5. Knowing the likelihood of this perhaps plans could have been made for a half way house like at other events where fans come on pitch but there is a sort of safety area around the tunnel area kept free for club/player celebrations keeping everyone happy. The scenes outside ground few years back where players celebrated with fans were brilliant but not all fans can get to or run onto the pitch. I do get the joyous spontaneity of fans running on but it stops the team celebrating in safety

I'm not a fan of pitch invasions - and I'm not being the fun police here, quite the opposite. As has been pointed out, it risks cancellation of laps of honour, presentations and a chance to actually see the players celebrate.

I'd rather watch PW start the bounce with an ecstatic squad with him than watch 22 knackered footballers run for their life towards the tunnel.

This is it for me. If we go up I will be overjoyed and I want to see the spontaneous final whistle celebrations of players and staff and who knows PW starting the bounce without them having to run off and celebrate in the tunnel/dressing room. If we go up and there is a pitch invasion we will have VAR subdued and delayed celebrations and perhaps nothing after. But we all know it will happen

Watched his first game - never been so happy after a 5-0 or 5-1 thrashing.

Still have my "Igor says Idemo Gore" ("we're going up" in Croatian) T-shirt from the Ramtique........choices, choices....it's that or the '96 Puma promotion shirt tomorrow 🤔

If we go up and see Igor - for me it doesnt get better than that. Glad ordered one of the Igor flags now

  8. Never met Daniel but spoke on here and have thought about him a fair bit this week in the build up to this and how out of control with loads of rallying threads he would have been on here this week 😂

I like to think he and the many others who saw the recent deep trough we were in but are now sadly missed will be there doing their bit from above to help get us back up
