Now I know this will frustrate some and some may call bull poo but I honestly cannot reveal the player , I have a family connection and no way am I allowed to name him but he and his club are in talks with derby for January move , as far as I know it’s a permanent so wondering if embargo has been adjusted as I doubt he would be freebie,
course it may turn out to be a loan or player swap and it may not even go through ,
rest assured I will be honest if and when he does or doesn’t come to derby
 

It was my 14th birthday and the best present I had was the Rams beating Scunthorpe 4-0, On Boxing day we won 4-1 at Scunthorpe, it was a really happy Christmas for me and all Rams fans. Tomorrow wont be as happy as I am 80 so not a lot to be happy about. Just looking forward to a Wembley trip next year in the play offs. Merry Christmas RAMS fans everywhere .

I get that we don’t have a divine right to say our ideology / culture / religion is the right one, and everyone else is wrong. Different cultures are what create the spice of life. I’m all for it. I’m glad there was a specifically Qatari influence in the World Cup, and so there should be. 
But we’re talking about basic, universal, human rights.
I always say that any functioning society shouldn’t actually need laws to function. 
We shouldn’t need laws to tell us it’s wrong to kill people, or steal, we shouldn’t need to laws to tell us what a fair outcome of a situation is, we should just know that, in our bones, we should all have a universal understanding of right and wrong. Ie who another person chooses to love is none of our business.
Of course the world goes in cycles. In 1,000 years time a new dominant civilisation may have risen. Modern Islam or Christianity might be seen as antiquated as the pagan Roman, Greek and Egyptian religions.
but those human rights will always be universal. Treating someone as if they are lesser, will always be bullying, will always be unjust. The Qataris know this. They just don’t give a s***.

I've already read terms such as "Everybody" and "The whole country" etc...
That for me is the crunch. 
Why should folk be allowed to just stroll in once every 4 years, and take part in the positivity?  Many of whom won't know the offside rule, or what year England won the WC, or what 2 teams played in "The white horse final"!.  They won't know who Geoff Hurst effectively replaced in '66.  
They won't realise that the vast majority of the cast of "Escape to Victory" were yer actual, real life footballers... icons in some cases... legends to many!
They won't know that Bury were winning cup finals by 6 goals decades, and decades, and decades before Man bloody city were doing it!  
They won't know who held the FA Cup for the most consecutive years (Trick question... but a good 'un!)
They won't have a clue who Mr S Bloomer was (More than just a Rams legend!), or that a keeper once played on in a cup final with a broken neck!
What does "First division champions actually mean?"  They'll cry.
"Charlton reached the '46 cup final despite losing to Fulham in a 3rd round tie?  Don't be so ridiculous!", they'll screech!

Well, I made it! Thought it was an ok game with odd bits of decent football. As has been said many times the officials were dire. I usually give them a bit of slack as I used to watch my dad reffing local games but this lot were beyond the pale. I thought we just shaded it but we don’t seem to get out of the habit of taking one touch or one pass too many.
I did look for @Anag Ram on the station platform but there were rather a lot of men in Derby scarves and I really didn’t fancy getting a reputation for accosting ‘strange’ men! I thought I’d recognise his nanny but I didn’t see her either!
I’m so pleased to know I can manage a whole day including travel on my own. A bit tiring though as I slept nearly 12 hours last night! But well worth it to know I can do it.

A shout out for Wildsmith, I didn't know who he was when he came here, Never heard of him, Thought he may be our number 2 at the very best, He's now kept 11 clean sheets(no washing puns)that's a good testament for our defence of which Wildsmith is part of, One save in the 2nd half when it looked easier to score spoke volumes of his ability.
This lad would fetch a few million now in the transfer market...not that we'll be selling him?
