I disagree that he's seen 'plenty' of the ball around the opposition area, it's the complete opposite.
The main area he sees the ball is 35-40 yards out, 10 yards in from the side of the pitch, facing his own goal and given the task of supporting the runs of Byrne. There are no runners from central midfield and often little to aim for up top aside from CKR, surrounded by defenders.
Jozwiak's work has helped create a number of situations for Byrne to get his crosses in, but there's nobody out there really providing any support to Jozwiak himself. He's almost expected to do it all on his own.
If we had a creative central midfielder doing for Jozwiak what Jozwiak does for Byrne he'd be producing more.
You're still picking apart ONE chance when someone actually played a good ball to him, because that's pretty much the only one he's been given for the past however many weeks. The only one I can remember before that is Bielik playing him a lovely ball and putting him through the with keeper, Jozwiak having a decent shot the keeper could only push into the path of CKR to score.

It’s a lazy argument to put Jozwiak’s failings at Derby solely down to the way we set up. Lawrence has played well for Wales and scored good goals yet doesn’t stop him being slated on here yet Jozwiak, it’s all the management team’s fault. I’m not buying it.
Jozwiak is a different player in a Derby shirt to the one we saw last night. He’s also a different player to the one we saw in those first few games. He was excellent on debut against Luton, played well against the red dogs and scored a really good goal (yes I’m still counting it), he lost form slightly but then still put in good performances up to the Christmas such as against Swansea and Birmingham. I think Birmingham was possibly the last time he played well in a Derby shirt and we have won games and created chances in that time (6 wins in 8).
He is clearly a very talented player but he has struggled to adapt to the championship, he’s been lightweight at times like when he was nearly through on goal and went down trying to win a free kick. I also can’t remember the last time he played a first time ball or a cross in a Derby shirt. For Derby he takes too many touches and misses his opportunities to create chances. How we set up has some impact yes, also the midfield and defence have missed some of his great runs by holding onto the ball too long (something the coaching staff have not asked the players to do by the way), but a lot of it is down to Jozwiak who can play much better for Derby than he is and has proved it earlier in the season. Don’t underestimate the impact of being on his own in a new country at only 22, he’s bound to be homesick especially in this crazy Covid world.
He needs to get back to the positive and aggressive performances he gave in his first few games, something some of our other players could do as well!

I apologise for my comments. Maybe I am being overly sensitive. Let’s let bygones be bygones.
I get a lot of stick for my posts, so I guess sometimes it wears me down. Seeing my name mentioned by you blindsided me a little. It’s tough being constantly painted as a misery guts, a doom monger, an instigator, the forum rain cloud.
I am just giving my views. I would love to be positive about the club.
But look at the last 24 months or even further back - it’s not made easy for us.

My apologies archram,I meant that nobody got five points but of course you have to get the FRGS as well to get five points. Well done in getting 2-2 a score which I would not have picked with ten choices.

Bit concerning, Forest two down in first fifteen minutes, not many teams can overturn a two goal deficit..

I think it's a good sign that even if these players don't go on and play much for us, they still can make a career from football.

Worrying yes because we don’t have a say in our own destiny do we. Let’s just worry about us. Yes if the current performances continue it will tense. Could work the other way with Brum, they could get worse! Rotherham have a lot to do despite the games in hand.

I think he’s having to adapt to the players we currently have and position we are in.  Get this season over with and start again.

Roos is a decent keeper. You won’t find a better no.2 in the league. If Derby fans hadn’t ruined his confidence, he could be even better. Lampard and our negativity are more to blame at Wembley than Roos. Glad he’s doing well.

But I don't want to see him on the wing I want to see us play through midfield with some attacking intent. It says more about the way we are set up than anything, no place for an attacking midfielder in our team!
And as for him not showing it in training, I am sure the current players aren't being coached to be so negative on the pitch but they keep doing it and aren't being dropped.
Personally I would like us to take the hand brake off and start playing to win. This solid defensive approach is hardly working lately and you can just see the confidence draining out of all the players, not just Louie.

Oddly I was discussing this with the old man the other day
I don't think he's dipped as such - He's just being asked to become a more 'grown up' player
When he burst on to the scene he was lively, intriguing and a bit magic - But mostly floated around doing whatever he wanted - More than Hughes ever did he drifted in and out of the game - Yes, you got those moments of magic but he wasn't as involved in the rest of play
Now, that's great when you have a team around you capable of supporting that - But this season we haven't and Rooney has show that he values every player contributing to every element on attack and (more importantly) defence - I think that's something which Sibley is working hard to address and getting used to - Much the same as Jozwiak it's an element which detracts from their natural game but will benefit them (and us) in the long run
I think give it another year under Rooney (and Macca?) and we could slot Sibley into a deeper number 8 (ish) role like Hughes used to play and he'll be a proper all round central midfielder

Bloody hell man, give Rooney a chance. There is only so much a man can do with the average players at pur disposal. Even Frank would struggle.
Let's not forget it took the so called super Frank two seconds to jump ship and join Chelsea. He could have waited, learned his trade at Derby and that Chelski job would have been there in the future at the rate at which they go through coaches.
I for one would not want him back.

Reading up on him the last few days, the 24 year old Colin doesn’t seem half the man or player we have on our hands now. From spats and homophobic controversies and being a bit part player, he seems to have really matured to be a fantastic influence on and off the pitch. So all in all, I think we’re actually getting his prime, just a late one. I get the sentiment of longevity, but hopefully a lot to offer still on the next 18 months.
