archram reacted to S8TY in Dwight Gayle
I like him a lot already looks a class above in this division
shows great touches and has surprised me with his link up play and has great movement
he will definitely score goals if he gets the right service and I think he could be a massive signing for the final run in
was he insinuating playing padel with his goal celebration at the corner flag ….if so I love it 😂👍🏻

Was it your birthday today? I saw your name at halftime and heard your mention as B4's sister. It was lovely.
How about if we fundraise for a flag with a B4 inscription instead?
There are quite a few new ones in NE corner and a permanent reminder to "Be more B4" or something similar would be a fitting memorial.

You may have been following the discussion on the season ticket thread.
Now that Daniel's seat is secured for his sister, can we fundraise instead for a flag for B4 as a permanent memorial and reminder of his presence at the stadium.
Maybe @David could help with the fundraising and we could ask Simon Penney to help with the flag, or someone else if anyone knows anybody?
What do people think?

P.G Wodehouse match report.
Ah, what a delightful spectacle unfolded at Pride Park! A veritable symphony of footballing finesse, where the dashing Derby County lads displayed a masterclass in the art of the beautiful game. With a flick of his coiffed locks, Sibbo graced the pitch with his goal-scoring prowess, each strike a testament to his sartorial elegance. And who could overlook the Padel maestro Gayle, whose header soared through the air like a swan taking flight, leaving the poor Port Vale defence in disarray.
But it was not just in attack where the Rams shone; oh no, their defensive acumen was equally sublime. Cashin, a veritable bastion of impregnability, rebuffed his opponents' advances with the ease of a vegetarian plucking a stray caterpillar from his salad.
And let us not forget the spirited Sonny, whose exuberant arm-waving would have put even the most robust of policemen on point duty to shame.
Under the astute guidance of Warne, the tactical maestro with a bobble hat perched jauntily atop his brow, Derby County danced their way to victory, leaving their opponents in awe. And amidst the jubilation, let us extend a hearty commendation to Ebou Adams, whose display on the field was reminiscent of the legendary Mick McManus himself. Truly, it was a day to remember, where the spirit of camaraderie and sporting excellence reigned supreme.

There’s no blind faith , I’m a derby fan of 50 odd years , I go and watch us play , good times bad times , there are a few on here where this warne thing is beyond reason and it’s bloody boring

A good win against the top scoring side in the country. Our 2nd win in 3 games means we climb another 2 places in the table.

I wouldn't have thought location would be an issue & argument for saying Derby fans outside the local bubble might be an advantage in some ways (different perspective as an expat, knowing how their respective local clubs are run & positive ideas/insight they could bring to a discussion). In this day & age with Teams/Zoom, am sure meetings could be conducted as a hybrid of remote/in person anyway. Sounds like you definitely have the gravitas to operate at that level, hope you go for one of the positions 👍
Genuinely don't think this role would generate the type of social media moaning you've seen whenever supporter groups put out tweets. This role wouldn't be a social media mouthpiece for the fans or the club - its about providing quality advice, asking reasonable questions on behalf of fans (via the public facing email address) & suspect most conversations will be below the radar (element regarding finances would obviously have to be confidential for example)

archram reacted to AGR in Portsmouth Away moved for TV
This needs regulating now. If the away supporters are unable to get home via train it shouldn't be allowed, simple as.
The only train back to derby after the match takes 8hrs 40min

Seriously. That was my first thought when I read @B4’s Sister's post early this morning.
I wouldn't know where to start. And I wouldn't know how to get such funds into our new sister's pocket.
But I do know how to donate.
And I do know I'd feel much happier knowing this had happened, than the seat going to a stranger, or being left empty.
It's just too soon!
Not sure how "uncouth" this is, discussing in public, but sod it... Count me in, if it happens.

Just to be clear, and to avoid any more nominations sarcastic or not. I have absolutely no interest in the role.
None whatsoever. Zero. Zilch.
Whoever takes it on, good luck, be prepared for all kinds of abuse and repeatedly told “you don’t represent me”.
I’ll just stay over here in this little corner of the internet and keep this place online for you all. I’m happy doing that.

That’s not good enough, I have things to do tomorrow, get him gone and replaced with someone who will be happy to do Thursday PC.
Should I start a new thread about this🤷🏻♂️

It's tricky, isn't it? Maybe pay him back monthly?
This is when we need B4 to come up with a solution. He'd probably tell you to do it instead of insuring your car!

archram reacted to B4’s Sister in Season Tickets 24/25
I’m not sure what to do about a season ticket. I’ve been using B4’s since he passed away. I feel like going to every home match is a bit too much with working full-time. The ticket is expensive and I’ll struggle to afford it as my car insurance is due at the same time. Don’t think my dad is ready to give up B4’s seat yet 😢

archram reacted to silverback in Wildsmith
I thought that was a superb save on their second goal, a one handed save from the first shot, just unfortunate that the ball went straight to their lad who tucked it away with some aplomb, as our defenders stood and watched
Luck is very capricious, another day would have seen a different ending

Gayle was pretty decent I thought couple of nice touches and then he hauls him off for a striker who’s been out for ages and looks less fit 🤷♂️ and again with smith, was one of the better ones on the night

archram got a reaction from Leicester Ram in Ed Dawes
Whatever one thinks of his commentary, I think Ed’s return is a great example and encouragement for others who suffer from similar problems and can’t believe they’ll ever get better, let alone return to work.
