  1. Firstly thanks everyone who reacted to my post about going - I felt really supported by you.

It was so good to be back after 2years and never expected to get there. So many improvements round the ground - though I do miss taking my life in my hands crossing the road by ToysRus!

I really enjoyed the game even though the end was disappointing. I thought some of the play was excellent though the mistakes for their goals were difficult to take.

Agree that footbridge is impressive. By the way @cosmici didn’t laugh much when I was the one who tripped up the step and broke my wrist!!

I haven’t been up that late let alone out for so long and I was shattered afterwards but, of course, I couldn’t get to sleep as I was still hyped up.

Feeling a bit fragile this morning but we’ll worth it. Can’t wait to go again some time!

  2. Yay, I’m going to this!! After a brain haemorrhage and then lockdown I thought I’d never get to PP again. However, I’ve recovered really well over the summer, especially worked hard to improve physically and my partner is letting my son take me to the match - he’s much more worried than I am!

So, Rams, I’d appreciate a good performance and a win - though whatever happens I’ll feel like a winner just getting there.

I had been thinking about this, the only thing I can think of is, if someone genuinely can't afford to go, but wants to, give me a PM in strict confidence and I will pair you with someone who is in a position to gift you a ticket.

    How does that sound?

It's no guarantee, but it is someone off this community,

That sounds ok @sage you are a longtime trusted poster so I would go with any recommendation from you.

  4. I just need to state I don’t understand a lot of this but it seemed strange to me that all of this became known on Friday evening. Do all these people work every day or does that give the weekend for something to be sorted out before Monday morning. I think I may just be trying to persuade myself there could be hope!

Sorry to hear you’ve been unwell ma’am. ?

Thank you, kind sir. Still recovering from a brain haemorrhage and now turned 80 means long journeys to Derby by myself are now off the menu, though my son and my stepson insist they’ll get me to PP again. My partner had hoped that having my brains scrambled might have helped me forget about the Rams - but I pointed out that it actually helped!

  6. Born and brought up in Leicestershire. My dad lived in Shardlow til he was 7, then moved to Leics. and was only member of family to support Derby still. Took me to BBG when I was 10 in 1951. Am now 80 and still an avid supporter though after serious illness doubt if I’ll ever get to PP again. Have been to matches with my sons, my grandchildren and a great granddaughter! Think I’ve done my bit in providing future supporters for the Rams!

I wouldn’t dream of saying to my wife let me have a go at that ironing, washing-up or hoovering, so personally I think it a bloody nerve that women seem to be muscling in on the playing of, and commentating on, football.

    Death wish?
