Much better game than was expecting in that heat particularly where we are at since coming out of admin. At half time thought we had looked good but second half more scrappy as played to their strengths. Cashin was immense today but he really worried me when he seemed to drag one of theirs down with him when he was on the ground. But MOTM performance. Stearman was fine. Had my 80 y/o mum with me today and her summary was "if they spent more time forwards into the box and less time titting about the back" we would be better. She also really liked "the stocky one at the back, the scruffy one with his socks down and Mr Shoulders". But think we all like Mr Shoulders
We women in our 80s know our football! ??

Can those who’s commentary is working please let those of us who’ve lost it know what’s happening?

With substitutions I often idly wonder how many fans wanting to change their car immediately think of going to Ron Brooks.

When I lived in Bournemouth I discovered the north started at Ringwood. They never seemed to have heard of The Midlands however many times I told them I was not a northerner bit a Midlander.

Chatting to elderly chap sitting next to me ( my son to his daughters “ I think grandma’s pulled!’) . We agreed prior to start that at least we’d know who Wildsmith was!
Thought NML the epitome of built like a brick s**thouse - his shoulders are almost as wide as he’s long and he’s certainly going to scare a few defenders.
In the end though the result was a big bonus but just being there made the day so special.

After much anguish I’ve decided not to renew my season ticket. Although my first game was nearly 70 years ago, due to finances and distance I’ve only had a season ticket for 4 seasons. I’m so pleased I managed it for at least a short time.
My health now means I can’t manage the train to Derby from Bristol and back in a day. When I do come to matches it’ll mean staying several days with my daughter and going to games with my son and granddaughters. I can’t always manage this and the expense of season ticket plus train fares is now too much for me.
However, I’ll be there v Oxford with my son and 3 of the kids - in spite of difficulty getting my son’s ticket as they said he was 122 years old so couldn’t purchase an adult ticket!
It’s been a rough old time for the club but I feel things are on the up and I’ll be at PP as often as I can.

Has the Queen ever opened another cub football stadium? I’ve often wondered how it came about.
-
Has anyone else had this ridiculous problem?
Yesterday I tried to buy tickets for the Oxford game for myself, son and 3 granddaughters. 4 were fine, but my son wasn’t eligible for an adult ticket because according to them he’s 122 years old!
I emailed the ticket office and asked why as he doesn’t want a concession just a normal adult ticket ( the most expensive one of the 5 I was buying) did they need him to prove his age.
They replied to say it has now changed! I’ve been buying him tickets for 43 years and now they want proof of his age! Do they not want to sell tickets?
Ive now sent them a photocopy of his passport. I’m not going to be too pleased if we’ve now lost the 5 seats where we wanted to sit.
Though full marks to them for answering over a weekend.

I thought the season before last was the season of an empty stadium
May have been a previous one - I struggle with time since my brain haemorrhage- not that I was much good before! I do however remember during one game looking at the hoarding and saying to my neighbour’ if we’re not enjoying this we should stay at home!’
-
I always thought the slogan ‘ when it stops being fun, stop’ would have led to an empty stadium the season before last!
I do hate the betting adverts, though I understand companies want to advertise themselves but it seems to be endless from betting companies. It must encourage more betting or they wouldn’t spend so much doing it.
I don’t gamble for a lot of reasons, one being because I’m a poor loser!

And if he’s still hotheaded and gets lots of cards, he’ll help fill the Ex Rams forum.

I wonder if Rosenior is more of an influence than I expected. He talks so well and knowledgeably that he may be very persuasive with some of these older players. He and Rooney seemed to be a team and maybe he was more of an equal partner, just not so obviously.

@duncanjwitham I need to say thanks for inadvertently bringing a smile to my face through all this. I always read your name as duncan with jam and , being a bear of very little brain, it amuses me every time!

All these months of mixed emotions and hopes dashed and revived but now the worst has been revealed - the EFL are incredibly disappointed in us! How awful is that? I think I’ll just leave this and cry myself to sleep! ?
