I’m amazed that my 4 granddaughters are still interested . The oldest doesn’t gobut she’s still interested ( has 2 small children and a Leicester supporting husband!) The next one down has health problems but wants to come whenever we go. The next one is in university but comes to games if she’s home. I thought the youngest, 14, would lose interest when the older ones didn’t come but when I suggested this she looked at me as if I were mad!

Mind you, their dad loves dcfc as much as I do, though work prevents him going as much as he’d like but now I can’t go on my own, he tries to get me to 7/8 games a season and my partner’s son , who I converted to a Ram, takes me occasionally as well, so I’m very lucky!

 When all 4 used to come, I’d look along the row and remember our next door neighbour telling my dad it was a waste of time and money taking a girl to a football match!!

My exhusband was grumpy enough for both of us so I’m growing old cheerfully! Anyway, my season ticket was in west and the people around me were lovely! I think a few flask bearing and blanket hugging oldies have  given us all a bad name - mind you when I get the need to equip myself with these items I shall remain determinedly cheerful! So there! ?

Thanks @sageand @Foreveram. Not a problem at the moment but I worry about the sun in your eyes in East stand. Unfortunately I can’t get them too far ahead as it depends on my son or stepson being able to take me and they don’t always know much in advance. Tickets for v Shrewsbury are in west stand Q row pp. see how that goes!

Since having to give up my season ticket I have trouble finding a seat that suits me on the odd occasions I can get to a match. Can’t do the ends as can’t see the other end of the pitch very well ; not too many steps in the stadium itself as no hand rail ; not too high up ; not too low as I then can’t follow the play very well! As my mother used to say if I complained about anything ‘ You could always stop at home’ but I like to go to games!

Though in the end I’m still so excited to be there it doesn’t matter that much!

Any thoughts or advice?
