I saw Hull win away at Southampton and they were pretty impressive - high press, fast attacking play. Yes, lots of passing and possession but it was always forward. They could have been more than the two goals up at half time. Second half, defended well when under the cosh.
Surprised at their decision, as much as you can be surprised at anything in football. I still think Rosenior will be a great coach.
Football is now so short term in its thinking.

Time for a shave then, to celebrate...

Oh, I thought you were talking about preseason training and I started imagining who might win the sprint races between Bradley, Forsyth and Hourihane.

Don't think that's ever happened. We've had the odd player.....eg Robbie Savage with his ankle taps.....but a whole team of hard nuts? Not in my lifetime.....
And please let it never happen.
I didn't like the approach under wee Billy. Mind, there was a lot about him that I didn't like.
Of the current crop, I like Wildsmith as a goalie but I don't like his gamesmanship.
Yeah, yeah win at all costs, blah, blah, blah.
Respect the game.

Gutted.
I was hoping we'd play Forest next season but, now, it might be a while.....
At the end of next season, well pass them on our way up and them on their way down.

I'd say save Forest and Leeds until we've found our feet, the new players have settled in and we're moving up the table 🐏

Derby 3 Eusebio's Benfica 0
I remember someone, maybe Graham Richards or Gerald Mortimer, on the radio saying something like he saw Kevin Hector walking down the corridor, injured, in the afternoon and thought there's no way he could play in the game. But he did play, and he was brilliant 🐏

B4 is ours, and we will always hold him close to our hearts.
But when you see the sheer numbers of names on the Rams remembered tribute at Pride Park twice a season, you see the scope of Derby County fans who die each season.
They are each and every one of them someone else's B4.
Yeah 😢
Life is hard and then you die.

I didn't want to start a new thread but we lost another special fan last night. For those who know of Colin Attenborough, or remember a few months ago a message Paul Warne did for him (link below), he passed away peacefully in his sleep last night. I knew Colin by playing Poker with him - a great guy - passionate about the team - and I'm happy he was able to be with us until the promotion was secured.
RIP Colin.

I've made it quite clear that I haven't enjoyed the way we've played this season and I'm not totally sold on Warne being the one. He's proven himself to be, as John Percy described him today, The King of League One. How good he is in the Championship remains to be seen but the evidence we have to go on so far suggests he isn't too great there.
With all that being said, he has absolutely 100% earned the right to lead us into this campaign. He's 100% earned the right to sign 8/9 players and shape this squad how he wants it. And he should 100% be given the time to have a decent crack at this division with that squad (so for me that's Christmas).
I can't promise I won't be groaning on here if we serve up some of the same football we have this season. But I won't be calling for him to go unless something utterly disastrous happens. And that's from someone who isn't sold on Warne.

Depends so much on the budget.
The standard of football is a big step up. We do need better players.
-
I prefer it to the Premier League.
If you're outside the clique of Premier clubs then each game is just damage limitation.
I hope the top six or whatever leave for some TV super league (Harlem Globetrotters anyone?) and the top domestic league becomes more competitive as a result.
Even the championship is now ruined as a competition by parachute payments tilting the balance.
At least League One was competitive, unpredictable and, in the most part, entertaining.

Today is very tough 💔
It will be.
I still haven't stopped crying myself.
Oh the emotion. I was convinced we were going to lose the football club.
B4 himself struggled with that and not being able to go to matches because of COVID.
Ying and Yang - things will get better and they have - thanks to Clowes rescuing the club and, now, we've been promoted back into the championship as B4 knew would happen.
It's just bitter sweet though because B4 wasn't there in person to see it.
Someone said on here they're not much for the afterlife, me neither, but B4 lives on in all of us. All those in this community were touched, helped in my own case, by B4's positivity and love of the Rams.
I really miss him.

B4 believed when I, for one, had doubts and fears. He helped me through those dark days when I thought we'd lose the club.
Thank you @B4ev6is.
Thank you David Clowes.
Thank you Warne, staff and players.
Thank you everyone on here.
B4 - we did it. The Rams are going up 🐏

Yeah, of course. I mentioned it because, even so, it surprised me a little.
The commonly held perception of Rosenior's football is illustrated here:
