Dean (hick) Saunders reacted to May Contain Nuts in Stadiums reopening, will you be attending?
    1. Yes - No worries at all.
I want the whole day out back. The visit to the pubs, the hubbub of voices (even the annoying ones talking poo), an online argument about the team selection distracting me from my pint and leading to me necking it before leaving to go to the match; the sobering (in the positive sense) walk to the ground in the fresh air (occasionally interrupted by burger van fumes) whilst scoffing a sausage roll or something; the getting annoyed at the clueless gobshites around me at the game (it's just not the same in the forum); the walk back with spirits lifted after a surprisingly decent result, even the walk back after a crap result and wanting to kick every lamppost along the way. All of it.
    2. N/A - I wouldn't be attending games regardless of the virus.
I very rarely go to away games, but if I did then the answer would be the same as question 1.

I'm sure with out Curtis in them last 10 mins we would of conceded a headed goal with out dout and been relegated!! What a truly wonderful suprise for me and my boys with him coming into our work while on holiday in Devon!! made 2 people very happy on a very busy day. Total  Respect for this man and were lucky to call him a ram!!

Kenny Burns is playing up for effect. I have spoken to him in the past (1990’s) in Derby where he was living at the time and he was a funny guy... Pretty sure he’s going for the pantomime villain approach.
I might add, not particularly disparaging about the rams.

Absolutely! If you can see the sea, that's good enough for me. I live 100 miles from the coast so any glimpse is precious.
Also  I love the area around Waterside and the marina in Hull. I can't understand why everyone has such a down on the place.

For the record, I was staunchly against the committee, against him solo but certainly ventured he should get the gig until end of season once we went on that run that made mid-table look achievable. A 2.5 year contract was utter ducking madness though. The one win in 15 games was more than enough to change my mind anyway and I remain a fully paid-up member of the get him gone party.
Not sure whether this is the hindsight thing that it so lamentable as I thought the whole point of being an adult was admitting mistakes, not sticking to them religiously as Rome burns around me. That's not really fickle in my book, that's just common sense.
Bit stunned by the poll figures all the same but am assuming they come from the 'Bielik phase' or that Roymac has about 80 accounts on this forum.

Please, before saying how bad Mel's decisions have been can people just think how they actually felt when those decisions were made. Managerial appointments and sackings, player signings (both the player and the contract they were offered), CEO sackings.......... The only decision that really strikes me as being widely opposed to was the sale of the ground. And that was probably the only one that (because of the earlier decisions) was actually the right one.
A massive 94% were in agreement with Rooney's permanent appointment at the time. There isn't a thread on the forum now that doesn't allude to that being the cause of our current on pitch problems.
Opinions change. That's a right for everyone, but don't say that they haven't changed and that you always felt that way. Admit you were wrong. No one will call you out on it. You might even get a like for admitting it.

Look. No one (virtuallly) wanted Cocu to carry on.
Most people were happy with Rooney when form picked up (before injurys bit).
Rooney is going to be the manager at start of next season. I for one am going to look forward to get back in the f.ing ground and will back the ugly sh-one-t for now.

    Yes.. We can’t hide anymore..

Variants are a reality of life now.. What do you suggest we do until we understand each possible variant?
Quantify cases? Hospitalised, ventilated, minor symptoms.. What’s the point of the vaccination if it does not mean anything changes? We can always move the goal posts on how we judge COVID to suit any position.. Should we view equally serious conditions in the same light as COVID? Flu kills and can be passed on. The common cold? Quick dust off the old nuclear shelter, buy some beans and hunker down.. For those who are genuinely worried about their own personal circumstances, then fine, do what you have to do.. Don’t go to major events, don’t go shopping at peak times, don’t have a meal in a restaurant.. Your choice 100% and I would support anyone doing this.. But the few cannot control my life now.. Sorry that may seem harsh but I’ve had enough.. I’ve done everything asked, been a good boy but it can do one now.

Stats in Bolton show that in vaxinated population rate is <=10/100,000 so I think it is fair to say that we just need to complete the vaccine programme and were all good.
This is on assumption that we are going to be a nation that has small amount of corona around in hospitals for ever.
Interested in what places like Australia will end up with. They have been successful in their near zero corona approach but probably it is not sustainable if they want to properly turn their economy back on. Ie the rest of the world will accept it is ok to have some level of transmission without lock down, but know they have some level of herd immunity. Aus needs to convince their population to get to the same place as the rest of the world or end up being semi cut off.

Apologies to Tyler if he was in fact talking about Stoke’s ground.
I fail to see how losing almost £90m but at least having their ground to sell is a positive though.
But it would seem as if Derby bad, everyone else good.
We could offer the cheapest tickets in the league during this pandemic and it would be Derby bad, losing money, no business sense. League 1 club at best.
Posted my dinner last night in the what are we eating thread, I was half expecting that to be turned into something Derby had done wrong ?

Dean (hick) Saunders reacted to Comrade 86 in EFL appeal
So it's now been nearly 3 weeks since the EFL 'won' their own appeal. Is it really that unreasonable to believe that they ought to have agreed amongst their grubby selves what sanction ought to be applied, because the never-ending delays simply appear to be a fairly crude mechanism to keep us under embargo, thereby disrupting yet another critical window.
Some on here have scoffed at the notion that there is a vendetta in play resulting from MM adopting the role of agitator with his communication to all EFL member clubs regarding the short-selling of TV rights. Frankly, I scoff at the notion that no such vendetta exists. Eight months to conduct an appeal into a single aspect of our amortisation policy and yet having 'won', they need more time to assess a fair and proper punishment? Really? Government inquiries are conducted quicker FFS! Really is high time for this bunch of feckless charlatans to poo or get off the fricking pot.

I wouldn’t dream of saying to my wife let me have a go at that ironing, washing-up or hoovering, so personally I think it a bloody nerve that women seem to be muscling in on the playing of, and commentating on, football.
